The C.D.R. under the visionary leadership of Dr. B. J. Nottage has established and proved itself to the Bahamian people in the 2002 general election that they are the best choice to run this country in this new millennium. The principle, policies and philosophies of the C.D.R. are now being implemented slowly into the system which tells me that the P.L.P had no real vision before they regained power in 2002. But the honorable Prime Minister is smart enough to use whatever he knows in the best interest of our country no matter who’s vision it is.

Unlike the F.N.M who is in a serious leadership crisis because the only thing the F.N.M is doing, is exposing their leader by allowing him to make public statements which only show his political impotency. But it may very well be a setup to get rid of him before the next general election. Because Ray Charles and Steven Wonder can see their current leader can’t cut it, but his ego is to big for him to say that to his colleagues; and will further lead them into humiliation, embarrassment and destruction.

In my opinion, I believe the Bahamian people don’t really care who leads the F.N.M anyway because they have had their chance to govern and did nothing to empower their own people. In stead they gave the foreign investors all of the best investment and the Bahamian people a job to work for them. We were not good enough to receive anything that is sustainable and therefore we will not support them come 2007.

Nevertheless, the Coalition for Democratic Reform is poise and has already informed the Bahamian People during the 2002 general election that they will enlarge the country by encouraging the local banks to lone money to young local entrepreneurs to invest in the family island and to ensure that the business be successful, the C.D.R. will help them get it off the ground and running then turn it over to the respective entrepreneurs. The results of this type of initiatives will eliminate or minimizes the traffic problem we now experience.

The ball is in the court of the Free National Movement now to post its vision for the country. I challenge him to (if he has one). Do you think he has a vision for the country?

I agree with you sir, personally I think Dr.Nottage is the most likely canidate to lead this country of ours forward, but it not going to be handed to him the way it was handed to the present leaders. My suggestion to the CDR is to start selling their platform to the Bahamian poeple again.Start immediately ,get a jump on the competition because timing is everything. use whatever tools available to them.,so by election time the CDR platform will be seared on the Bahamian minds, and the don't have to spend so much effort and resources on trying to get the Bahamains on board. Just my view.

How many votes did Dr.Nottage's party get in the last election? A hand full? If they hope to take the next election, they have MUCH work to do, perhaps too much!

My point exactly the CDR party can't wait until crunch time to start if they want to be a factor in the next election. :bouncy:

Hello? The next elecion is not until 2007. Bahamians in the main do nto care about issues or nation building. the key to winning the next election unfortunately will be who promises the masses the most free t'ings. Who can talk the most sweetness and make people laugh. the only way to buck this trend is to have all candidates from all parties be serious people. But, who knows..if all the candidates are serious people who tell it like it looks maybe the turnout would not be as high as it usually is.What can one do?

This post started in 2004. Did Nottage join the PLP just in time to help destroy it. His canidacy (sp) in Bain Town was quite divisive and caused the party votes in different areas.

Is he going to run for leader next convention. Remember that big time homecoming they gave him 2 years ago? Think he still have that sort of appeal?

What is your evidence?
Why would you say that?
What proof do you have to show for it?

I guess we will have to wait and see...I wonder how old he is?

Not feelin BJN. Not feellin him at all. I and many other Bahamians don't like how he left the CDR high and dry. He was their leader. That was wrong.

Look at Jacques, the author of this thread. Poor Jacques was right there with his hopes in BJN, not knowing BJN was eyeing the lime light. He cut and gone to the PLP because they were in power.

If PLP make him their leader, they will lose election again. That's my unbiased opinion. It is a shame that his name is even coming up because that means they really don't have any options.

I supported the FNM in the last elections. I consider myself a swing voter if you must know. And BJN will not be getting this swing vote if he becomes leader of the PLP I assure you.

I don't hate the PLP. I hate what the last administration tried to do to this country. It is unfortunate they have silly people like you representing them on this board. You are a liability to the PLP. Not helping their cause AT ALL!

Sure have a funny way of expressing that.

I hate what the last administration tried to do to this country.
Like what?
I bet you will only say "scandal"....Scandal does not amount fo impropriety and it does not mean that anyone did anything illegal. Let the courts decide; not you and I.

It is unfortunate they have silly people like you representing them on this board.
Now I am silly. I am used to this, and have since coined a phrase for effin ems like you; mindless mob-morons/ MMM....
LOL....

You are a liability to the PLP. Not helping their cause AT ALL!

LOL...
This sounds so personal. But then again, what do I expect from morons like you.
However, I support what I feel is right, and if that does not coincide with you or the PLP, who I support more than effin ems like you, then they have a problem not me. I have proven myself, and my ability thus far. PERIOD.
