they should throw those responsible for that outage in FOX HILL PRISON and throw away the key!

Ok, looks like the unions are taking over the country, they can do whatever they want now, first was the Hotel Union, next was BEC wanting how many million, and teachers, who will be next, it will not stop until the bahamas has no money left, not much different than where it is right now, and no infrastracture left. How can these people be so stupid not to realise that the country doesn't have the money. They are terrorists for what they are doing and should be jailed!! All the unions should be abolished and people should start working for their money! It seems like the unions have nothing better to do, when this country has alot more important problems that need to be addressed.

At this rate, we will soon be like Iraq was just after the initial war, little or no working infrastructure. We consumers need to start protesting against these protests and pay rises. BEC needs to spend what ever money they have on new equipment that actually works, without load shedding!!!

That so called new GSM phone thing is simply a joke, cant keep the infrastructure running properly, certainly cant keep technology going.

If you feel you are not getting paid enough, find another job!!! It doesnt take any common sense to crawl out from under that rock and see the light.

These outages are really getting silly.
I think that it is time we get a private electricity company in this nation.

Alas, that would not do much good, as far as strikes are concerned. Any private company would have a union too. The trouble, right now, is not BEC - it is the union.

If I were the PM I would break off any talks because to continue looks like caving in to the union's threats and the illegal actions (by some employees.) Let them cut down all the poles they like! I would not negotiate out of fear. I would restart the talks when the unions can act like civilized men. To give them what the want now sets a bad precedent, it mean intimidation works!
