View Full Version : PLP Wins Landslide Victory at May 2 Poll-- FNM Gets 7 Seats

PLP Wins By Landslide as a result of gaining the majority of swing voters. The disgruntled FNM voters will lead the swing voters list. The bell wether of the swing voters will be the ex Tommy Turnquest voters arm of the FNM. In the case of say Wallace Rolle, he brought over his entire 9 brothers and all his family members. This swing of voters amounts to a minimum of 50 new votes. In the case of Ashley Cargill, he has brought over greater than 100 die hard FNM voters who were in the FNM long before the Symonette/Ingraham faction joined the Party. In the case of the countless other broken hearts who loved Tommy T, greater than 40% have been documented as running away from the mistrust of the FNM leadership.
There has to be an apology from Symonette/Ingraham Team before the likes of so many of us return to a Party with leadership that cannot keep their word. And to add insult to injury, we now have to settle with a leadership team that has a member who was once fired by the other leader. When on earth will we receive an apology for passing on this type of political mess in the laps of intelligent voters.
Like the Ashley Cargill and Wallace Rolle families, my entire family cannot wait for May 2nd to send a clear message that it is important to keep your work.
IT IS A MATTER OF TRUST!
May 2nd can't come soon enough.

yeah i know we already got the FNM one on here .. its uknowho :)
The thing that most FNM and PLP dont get is that many people are just fed up with the current government and could care less if they or their opposition is FNM or PLP.
anyway good luck with all that ... ;)

Neither PLP or FNM will have a landslide victory this time around. This is going to be a close, hot election.

Well, it might be two straight, we don't know - but I am sure we can take "landslide" out of the mix.

I agree.
My take on this election is that in 2002 people were disgruntled with the FNM. The PLP had a slate of virtually unknown candidates with only 6 I believe being incumbents. Therefore the voters wanted to vote the FNM out and cast their vote for the PLP regardless of who the candidate was.
This year you have a situation of most of the FNM candidates being previous MPs or cabinet ministers and the PLP running almost all their MPs as incumbents. So the choice is murkier therefore it will be close and HOT! If the voters are as angered as it appears they are at the PLP then they may get shafted but it will still be close. No landslide for the FNM.
