These are the words that i would borrow from HM "As for me and My house we are voting FNM. Hoooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. mr. Moultire if you stop by this site let ,me be the first one to tell you--Welcome to HI team which is the Winning team and we are proud of you sir. You said you stand for principals and fair play in this FNM government-- You know you would not need any telescope to see what the corruption is like in the PLP cos they dont have any shame. Once again mr. Moultrie welcome aboard cos the SS:PLP sailing: is a drifting:bouncy: Now if y'll PLp don't:dgi: Please don't blame me. Cos we ga turn up da heat IN the city 2000.

The BFA, Harley Moultrie's party is just another one of the third parties to join the FNM along with the CDR and Rodney Moncur, which shows that more political persons have faith in a government led by Hubert Ingraham instead of Perry Christie.

This speaks volume, people with good reputation and meaningful contributions are flocking the FNM daily while the opposite is happening to the PLP. Only people going to the PLP are those who are looking out for themselves and their household.

@ Free, Just playing devil's advocate for a sec...

Are they really abandoning their party due to faith in HI, or due to the fact that they know they can't win in this election otherwise?

I dunno.

As more and more of these "third-party" politicians jump ship to join the two major parties, my respect for Cassius Stewart grows and grows. I just hope that he uses this time to develop himself, his team and their mandate more. I see no reason why my generation will not vote for him and the BDM in about 15-20 years.

15 to 20 years is a very long time...ill be 40 45 then...a different time and a different place...cassius will be nothing but a joke in 5 if he doesnt get serious.

The BDM leaders cannot run this country, I realized that when they filled out their report showing their Net Worth. If the leader and deputy leader of the BDM does not know how you arrive at your net worth total, how could they manage the financial affairs and balance the budget of the Bahamas.

Get real, good ideas cannot run a country, good management of money and ideas does.

So obviously the part I typed about growth and development of themselves, their party and its mandate over 20 years was not read? You're using present-day examples. I'm looking toward the future. The PLP and the FNM are similar, with their candidates switching between them with each new election. This is the reason why many will not be voting at all in this election. People want a change. It will take time, but if Stewart is groomed properly, he could very well be a force to reckon with in 20 years.

It's obvious that he doesn't have what it takes to run the country now...which is why he's not a big factor in this election.

i have to agree with Taf on this one Jaden. personally, i think if Cassius doesn't make a serious move within the next 5-10 years, his fire will be gone....and he'll be just another party robot.

i hope he can get off the ground soon though, b/c he seems to be quite worthy of a chance.

That's if he doesn't abandon ship like Dr Nottage....

@ wintergrace - Well to put it politely, Nottage is "up there" in age. He does not have the amount of years on his side to wait around while the country builds faith in his party. I'm sure he realized that too.

@ Taf and LL...yup...I'm hoping that he or some other young leader will be focused and get off the ground within the coming years. To answer Taf, I think (and hope) I'll be alive in 20 years...that's about it. Anything else - I'll cross that river when I get there. lol.

I hear you guys about possibly tiring of Stewart after a while.
BUT, I keep reminding myself that the public gave the "new party" FNM a chance after sticking with the old PLP administration for 25yrs. If these up-and-coming young politicans are willing to put in the work to develop themselves and strengthen their party, who knows? Another great change may come. T'is all I'm saying. lol

The FNM took 20 years to win the government! Like Jaden said, if Cassius gets serious and hangs around long enough then he will get into the house.
Garnelleo you can see how they filled out their report on mrcontroversy.com. It was hilarious to me!!!

cassius has a lot of ideas. His forty years plan indicates clearly that he has a great vision for this country . If he gets serious as lincoln has said maybe people would afford the apporitunity. Caussis must get it together .

hangs around long enough? uhhhhhhhh...serious?

the 70's and the new millenium are two different time periods...20 yrs is a long time to be working towards something that you could probably can do in 10 if you really took yourself seriously...look at Obama...it didnt take him 20! who wants another old washed up has been who een ready to work but just happy to be PM?

to jaden: Ill be around in 20 too...but failing to plan...planning to fail...trust me I know- I speak from experience...I shouldve been a rich b1tch by now at the ripe old age of 26! procrastinanting and lollygagging does these things!
