PLP Renegades Abuse Rental property

An already disgruntled investor is furious that an apartment he owns has been taken over as a PLP election office and used for a weekend cookout.

Blue, yellow and black stripes have been painted round the property in Prince Charles Drive, where PLP candidate Ricardo Treco has based his campaign workers.

"This property is a private home and it was never intended that it should be used for such purposes," said furious Harald Fuhrmann.

"Over the weekend there was a cookout there which attracted about 200 people," he said.

The ground-floor apartment is, in fact, intended only for residential purposes - a point made forcibly by Mr Fuhrmann when he rented it out for $750 a month.

Now the investor, who has owned the property for 15 years, said he wants Mr Treco and his supporters out of the property. This week, he intends to place a chain across the front entrance.

"The question of the colours was discussed, but, I never gave an answer," said Mr Fuhrmann. "The point is that this property should never have been used as an office."

He has asked police if permission was sought to use the property for a weekend cookout. Scores of cars were parked outside as PLP supporters staged an outdoor barbecue on Saturday.

"I feel very uncomfortable about the whole situation," said Mr Fuhrmann. "I never expected this to happen."

A message left for Mr Treco was not returned up to press time yesterday.

Amen!! I went there last night it was packed with people..no chain across he knew he what Treco wanted the place for?! duh furthermore i asked a lady she said its not that much of a big deal as some are making it out to be..this isn't a biggie nor does it affect treco and his great team in the east!

i wonder if treco actually walks his area. i'm sure if he did, he'd probably just let Mr. Furhmann chain up the doors. lol.

ricardo is in trouble, PLPs. don't believe me? walk through any corner from Super Value Winton heading out towards the beach. look in the yards for the red flags, knock on the doors & meet the FNM supporters. it's okay.....we won't bite.

if i'm not mistaken, in the 2002 elections, the only seat the FNM won in Nassau was Brent's.

but, that's nice if he's making the effort.....he can certainly be applauded for that. there's nothing wrong with giving it the good old college try.

Well its offical he told TRECO that he had to go ..so Treco had to pack up his stuff and leave the HQ...Apparently he's(HF) mad at homeboy because "brent is suppose to be their friend and he's(RT) running against him" so i guess that settles that..I'ma go out there later to get the full scoop but this is what I was told from my friend that works there..Im postive this won't deter the Treco if anything he's stronger than ever!

Why would you indulge people taking this dumb attitude of "running" the other party?

I thought that places like Killarney and Yamacraw had some of the more "intelligent" voters. Apparently not. How would you know if the other person is actually better or worse than the guy you are supporting?

I say all of this, in the vein of candidates from both parties have been encountering difficulties with insults being hurled at them, and being "ran"...That is not even close to being funny, and I wish even that stops just as much as the physical violence.

I think that people do themselves a disservice when they run any candidate. Not all of the FNM people are "choir members" and run puppy shelters.
