View Full Version : Can someone give me a persuasive rationale for The Bahamas signing on to CSME? Alien 04-24-07, - 07:27 PM The upper hand is on the other foot. Africa and the Caribbean has finally got it. This could have happened a long time ago, but we all know what happened...aye? I een say sign on to all of the CSME, but we removed ourselves from the descision making process. The labour thing, and the immigration thing is a big issue for us. I think, knowing what I know, that we could have handled this issue with a little more care. But the people were so against it, the PLP or no one, could do a dang thing about it. I was at school in Canada when the FTA with the US was introduced. The then PM, Brian Mulroney, had an insert in every paper that was about as thick as the Miami Herald itself. It have every iota of infomation in it, and Canada voted it in. I don't know who it went down in Mexico.
