LOL, the FNM (have they officially changed their name to the HIP?) still bus-ing in people to have a crowd at these rallies?
Anyway, I am in San Francisco and earlier today I was walking and I saw this lady wearing a PLP shirt, Alfred Gray, very surprise I ran across the street to talk to her, she's retired living in Mayaguana and said that if she could vote, she'd for to Christie and the PLP. Asked why, she said because she was pleased at what they PLP gov't has done over the past 5 years for the island of Mayaguana. She's been living in the Bahamas since 1995.
She said she was really indifferent about Bahamian politics and the shirt was just something to wear to go sign some documents but seeing what the FNM has done for seven years to the PLPs' 5 years, she hopes the PLP is given a second chance.
Hmm.........

If the FNM is to be judged on "Years in Service", then theoretically the PLP has actually had 30 years ;)
Also, when the FNM first came in, they did so much for this country, freeing the Bahamian Citizens from Pindling's Regime type power grasp; what they did after that cant say as I didnt pay much attention, crime was high and thats all I noticed, and Anarchy has run rampant over the island for the past 5 years. They both seem to have plans to fight crime, but we have heard that before; same ole same ole.
Now, neither has told me which one is moving the ramp, so perhaps its time for the BDM :D

BullSh!t, you got us mixed up with the PLP, we dont need to bus people, they come out in droves on their own. As for the PLP everytime they're having a rally you hear on the community announcements that a buss will be leaving from here there and everywhere at this time and the next. Yinna PLP's mix right up. That's just like yall though, ya do things and then say the FNM did it!

Whats wrong with bussing supporters to rallies????..and don't say FNM's don't do the bus thing because I saw it with my own eyes in fox hill on the motorcade their were several busses with fnm paraphernalia and people in tow! I don't see anything wrong with bussing people who want to attend the rallies and don't have trans..hell i think thats a good idea and they should continue!

The mere fact that you and this lady met in San Francisco speaks volumes. I live in The Bahamas and I have friends on every island who affiliate themselve with both parties so I am well aware of what's going on in this country on a daily basis.
The record of the Progressive Liberal Party during their tenure is dismal to disgraceful so much so that they themselves are even ashamed to call it a "record". Reality has hit home to many Bahamians and, for those Bahamians who needed to remember why they voted the PLP out of office in the first place, this last five years was an extremely regrettable reminder. Their "record" is so shallow and empty that they have allegedly resorted to bribing voters and, in some cases, making down payments on votes.
The PLP of the late 1960's and early 1970's was and is long gone never to return. We got rid of the crooks of the 1980's but like wolves in sheep clothing they disguised themselves and came back in 2002 full of deceit and promises. They mutilated our economy, destroyed our reputation, reversed some of our successes, neglected our young people, debased our morals and embarrassed our country before the entire world.
After five years of blunders, errors and crookery we've had enough. The people are tired of them, the country is tired of them. Even staunch PLP's are tired of them. They wasted no time wearing out their welcome. People all over this country are convinced that this bunch of PLP misfits have got to go. It ain't long now!

thats exactly how it was... no one was leaving until our PM arrived... it was truly an over-whelming scene as hundreds of people cheered and chanted "IT OVA!!"
and the motorcade was massive.. I was in a group that led the 'official' police escorted section.. and my group was 50 some cars long.. 2-4 people in every vehicle... and we left about that same amount at the airport...

Listen, my boy say when you account for the PLP's rallies large amount of children and illegal immigrants, the FNM's Exuma rally was bigger than the fort rally.
Of course he was tired, sleepy and a little hung over but he was adamant about his point.
