can someone name me 5-10 TANGIBLE things that THIS PLP goverment has accomplished in the past 5 years?

things that exist at this very minute. not 'soon to come' or what may have you.

things that they (the PLP) have executed from the beginning (planning) stages to finish (completion of said project).

please, this is not a PLP-bashing thread. i honestly want to know the answer....as a Bahamian.

ministry of social services...creation of legislation...child protection...intimate partner violence and the domestic violence act....empowerment and capacity building in vulnerable communities...the disabled and HIV....and women's orgs...reporting of crimes...

Good question LL,

That brings up the point about future projects,

When these projects are tabled, the plan should proceed despite who is in power. All parties are involved in prelimianries and any issues are brought up in the house before work commences. What I see the problem is that things take too long, then its election time and then one party threatens to kill the other parties work. That cant happen else we will not grow at all.

But yeah I would like to see what was done from start to finish.

to be honest, until December of 2004, i lived in Toronto. hence the question.

i cannot see what they have accomplished FROM START TO FINISH. hence the question.

if you are not a PLP supporter, then this question was not for you to answer. which you didn't.

To be fair, it's not like NOTHING has been done...

1. Ginn has dug up most of West End
2. Old Bahama Bay rebuilt, opened then sold to Ginn
3. Gold Rock Creek Film Studio did 2 movies (forget about the beach erosion - we don't talk about that)
4. Bimini Bay opened
5. Reverse osmosis in Nassau

To be fair, it's not like NOTHING has been done...

This PlP government has accoplished alot. They have made history, look at it, correct me if i am wrong but didnt they have the first fight in the house of assembly between themselves? thanks to the plp the Bahamas is the place for rich foriegners to live and become citizens in a heart beat! and lastly i am proud to say that the Bahamas is the first country whose prime minister can do the shuffle!
