For the US State Department, it's a big deal. In an opinion-editorial appearing in today's Guardian, American Charge D'Affaires Brent Hardt encourages the government of The Bahamas to continue cracking down on the illegal commerce of "fake Gucci bags, phony medicines, pirated television signals, and illegal copies of videos and DVDs," which all violate intellectual property laws.
