But I'm glad to see your post. I think if Bahamians abroad were to register to vote, it would have a strong impact on the entire political process in The Bahamas. As the persons are not in the country to see for themselves what is being done, it can lead many to go on hearsay; then again it can persuade many of them to do their own research and decide based on their findings. Sometimes I think those of us outside the country know the REAL story better than those in the country. :D We have no choice but to dig and search out tons of sources to get the 411. We also have the benefit from being set back from the situation so we can see things more objectively. Wanna talk about "swing voters?" If they ever instituted absentees ballots, that would be a HUGE swing vote. Hard to influence somebody with a T-shirt, pop-pom or fridge who is miles away!
