''Now I understand the governing party have been busy these last couple of days making up more stories to mislead and confuse you.
You mustn’t be taken in by them.
First they told you I was a boogeyman and that children and nurses and public officers feared my return.
That was a lie and the truth has out.
Now they have a new one.
Now I’m sick. Now they say don’t vote for him because he’s sick.
Well, thank God that is not true and I pray that God continues to bless me with good health.
I am here – able and willing and offering to serve you once again.
I’m beginning to believe that they also have a serious sight problem in the governing Party you know.
Last week they couldn’t see our Deputy Leader. Now apparently, he’s going to take over.
Their latest ridiculous lie has it that I don’t intend to serve out my full term if elected – that once elected I’ll turn the government over to someone else to lead.
They are not serious. I look like anybody’s stooge? Anybody’s stand-in? PLEASE…..
I don’t trifle with the Bahamian people. I’m asking the Bahamian people to return me to office so that I can serve them for a full term; that’s the deal – five years!
Every election is for a five year term and the sooner Perry Gladstone Christie reconciles himself to that fact the sooner he will get rid of some of that hate and anger that’s eating away at his soul.
He’s angry because he must return the Government to the people for the people to decide who will lead during the next 5 years.
And the signs are on the wall – it won’t be Perry Gladstone Christie leading the Government after 2nd May– and so he vex; so vex that they are making up stories and telling tall tales and spreading outright lie''
Alien 04-28-07, - 07:25 AM So he wants another 5 years. LOL...
Ok Mr "Two terms and I am done"....
Why should we believe you now? We should not believe HI now. Things are just too dodgy with his rhetoric. Ambiguity and half truths are the work of the devil.
LL Cool G 04-28-07, - 08:14 AM lol, there's no pleasing people.
he FINALLY puts the lie that he's gonna hand over the gov't to rest. the same lie that just about EVERY PLP supporter on here has been bytching over. and yet they will find something ELSE to complain about.
i didn't know we had sooooooooooooooooooooooo many honest, righteous folks living in this country. which now has me baffled as to why so much crime & scandal has riddled our streets.
i mean, surely, the current PM has kept his word.

Perry Christie is the MASTER of half truths....we trusted perry when he said he'll swim in his own vomit too...i still waiting for him to do the breaststroke.....we trusted him to enact all those things he promised us in 2002....so i guess your right
12play 04-28-07, - 08:18 AM Hubert should stay as long as his party and the Bahamian people in mass want him to, not Pierre, Lester, Bulgie, Tennyson or PLP attack dogs want him to.That is Democracy. The people will decide, and we doh need no advice from anyone to decide. The PLP buffoons say that they carn see Brent one day (Mckinney), now they say Brent taking over. Those PLP folk are children, and children should not be mindin' adult business. Children should be seen and not heard. Roll dem out!
Alien 04-28-07, - 08:36 AM Anyways...
HI will change his mind, and you all will find it very convenient if he wins when he does it. LOL...
Talk about groupies!

You are so correct. It is rather amazing to see how rather dishonest most people are. Changing ones mind whether one gonna run for political office cannot be equated with honest and good government. Every body changes their mind from time to time. To our religious folks even God changed his mind--he change his mind with the people of Nineveh when he had sworn that he was going to destroy the entire city. There was a compelling reason to do so and as a result God spared the people of Nineveh. God change his mind for a compelling reason. I ask again why cant Hubert?
Jonah Cht 3: 5-10...
5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. 6 Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?
10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.
Anyways...
HI will change his mind, and you all will find it very convenient if he wins when he does it. LOL...
Talk about groupies!
On this subject you seem to leave all rationality behind.
Man what HI do you so.
I wont go over the HI thing again cause I know you know it, why can't you accept it.

Man it even een about that. It is about the truthfullness, or lack therof comming out of the FNM. With that, their plan/,manifesto is so weak. It leaves me to question "why do they want to come back to power??"...
The obviously have no true plan. With that, from what I have heard is that "major money" is behind their campaign. What do they want to do?
I am afraid for our country and the people at the bottom bruva. People at the top with the PLP have little regard for the small man, but the people at the top of the FNM with who supports them have NONE.
Take that as you wish. With that, FPO and the Port is a prime example of when you let your big shot friends, the license to run amuck with no regard for the people. I mean Hobo, LOOK AT IT. Look at the Port and GB...are those people, which FPO flaunt flagrantly with FNM support, looking after the people of GB??...LOOK AT IT HOBO...LOOK AT IT!!!
:sparky:
That een no PLP doin them in at the Port in GB, those are "their" people....

We all have a right to change our minds...
I just waiting to find out what the final reason will be...
Should be interesting though...Will it be 1 year 2 years 5 years...never...hmmm...who knows..
Sunnyjohn 04-28-07, - 09:54 AM Let me first start by saying I am a neutral party.
For better of worse, Mr Ingraham has a 'strong' personality. As with many who are drawn to politics, the man likes power, the spotlight and attention. His "bigg-ity-ness" is part of his strength AND his weakness.
Even the best most honest world leaders find that the position of Head of State is a powereful and enjoyable aphrodisiac.
I never say never, but I can't see HI stepping aside mid term. I did not believe the rumors. Maybe....

This is the only thing we have to go on, is if in fact he has "misled" the FNM big-wigs into his half a term speech. LOL...
This is one falkin mess...ya hear me. This is obfuscatory foolishness, or, some would call it conflicting bullsh1ts out of the FNM, and it is on purpose. Trust me when I say that they have no plan.

As far as I know he never said he would step down after 18 months. That was a PLP invention - trying to scare the people with a White man!!!

I did not hear this from PLPs initially. That's just the thing.
:taped2:
With that, the white businessmen support the FNM heavily...we know this.
