View Full Version : Garden Hills going Purple
canewry 04-28-07, - 08:44 PM When you contrast the competition for Cassius Stuart, it is clear to see that Garden Hills going purple. Finally. BDM getting a seat. The people in Garden HIlls excited. They eager for a proaction person to be their representative. Garden Hills is definately tired of Veronica Owens...and Brensil Rolle isn't even a political option. Has anyone ever looked him in his face...I mean he doesn't even look the part...always look doubting...Yet the FNM pushing him hard, exhausting their monies on that dead weight. Nevertheless, its safe to say Garden Hills wants better...The want the man in purple...Red going scared and that yellow colour blinding....

Boy, if a 20-20-1 split happens, Ya'll thought this election was hot, man, that would be FIRE!
With my understanding of the British Parlimentary system here is what might happen:
At some point the Governor General will invite both Mr Christie and Mr Ingraham individually to Government House to ask them if they have sufficient support "to form a majority."
Given the nature of Bahamian politics, Mr Stuart will also be invited to audience with the Governor General, so he can state to the GG which party he intends to "caucus" with.
Mr Stuart can "caucus" with either party in order to give them the majority and form the government, but he does not have to give up his place as a BDM representative. He can vote as he please once they get in (but ya'll know how things go in the House).
British history is littered with instances in the past where this happened.

He has served as controller of road traffic for many years and been in several high government positions before end since then. Aside from him being a good friend of my family for years he is definately capable and is a very fair, str8forward and honest person. Just because he doesnt look like a bulldog doesnt mean he is a tabby cat. and from my campaigning in garden hills with that team a whole lot of garden hills is fnm too and plenty wont vote independant knowing that truly the way our government is set up an independant cannot really do much for their constituency without throwing their support behind the govt or the opposition.
