Priya 05-07-07, - 10:37 PM I know some of you still excited from the elections but if you want to take a break from all that political talk do me and favor..im on the hunt for baby names and i don't want to do the"bahamian ting" mixing mother and father name together lol hell no. list 5 boy names and 5 girl names plz:)

Boys names: Armani, Duran, Alex, Cody, Stephen
Girls names: Mariah, Jayden, Keri, Ariel, Alyssa
and if someone teases me & says those names are "too white".....WHATEVER! lol.

see, now i can get down with those guy names. even though FALLON sounds like some soap opera/90210/The OC stuff.....but, i could ALMOST get with that one.
but ur girl names sound so......nerdy, with the exception of nadia. probably b/c i personally know a Christine, Jessica, Carla and Raquel that got picked on all throughout high school. lol.

LOL I was going to include Victoria and Elizabeth.....but that would be going overboard I guess.
I knew a Fallon, I thougt I would have probably tale that name for myself but
I think ill stay with my unique name that seemingly no one else has!
Thing is everyon in my family either has first names or middle names after my dad's high school freinds......I mean i know some people get attacthed....but...:gi:

I think that you are right about not doing the Bahamian ting.
I have a friend who named his girls Michelle and Rachel. The reason -- he said that when his girls would be applying for jobs in Miami or Atlanta, he didn't want them to be identified as black from their names. He wanted them to read the resume or CV and judge it by the accomplishments and not by the 'Black-sounding' name.
