Yup, best conch/ fritters and dinners you can get in the world! *Reminds her loyal customers that her mobile tuck shops serves conchfritters and dinners AND are sanitary!* ~~~ Rory 05-15-07, - 06:35 PM Das da stalls on Potters Cay hey? Yup, best conch/ fritters and dinners you can get in the world! * cough * I bought some fritters from there before, I wouldnt say its near the best, not even close, let alone healthy ... they let the conchs sit in the sewage they call water there .. the harbour .. just behind the stalls .. ministry of health is scared of that place! Sunnyjohn 05-15-07, - 06:39 PM * cough * I bought some fritters from there before, I wouldnt say its near the best, not even close, let alone healthy ... they let the conchs sit in the sewage they call water there .. the harbour .. just behind the stalls .. ministry of health is scared of that place! Didn't yinna just have a major conch poisioning scare a handful of years ago? Ya'll still doing the same mess? I guess that is one way to thin out the population in Nassau, kill em off. Rory 05-15-07, - 06:40 PM A little paint and weedkiller would do wonders there, and take very little effort and time. diarra 05-15-07, - 06:40 PM * cough * I bought some fritters from there before, I wouldnt say its near the best, not even close, let alone healthy ... they let the conchs sit in the sewage they call water there .. the harbour .. just behind the stalls .. ministry of health is scared of that place! Ya tink! Shoots that place would deplete their entire budget in one week if they really did all that they had to do to get out there straight. Granted some stalls try their best to keep their immediate areas good to go. But it's always the few in the barrell that sour the Carlo Rossi................. I guess that is one way to thin out the population in Nassau, kill em off. I havent ate from that place since I saw where they keep the conch, plus their fritters were never much but a bunch of dirty grease anyway. But I had food poisoning several times last year (lost count), already once this year (confirmed), none from conch though as I dont eat it much anymore. Bahamian Chicken on PC has some nice fritters though and they are inexpensive, had some a couple times so far from there and both times it was great. Sunnyjohn 05-15-07, - 06:43 PM Hire all dem who want work and give dem $4/hr a paint brush, rake, mop and cleaning supplies. Then set dem loose on Nassau. They would have money to spend, clean up the palce and have more gainfully employed folks contributing. We neede to do like Singapore and start beating folks who keep their place nasty. But it's always the few in the barrell that sour the Carlo Rossi................. they cant keep the big restaurants and food stores in check .. let alone these smaller stores . .. its a shame though, we bahamians have to suffer for them not doing their job and enforcing the laws, and/or improving the requirements for food preparation and safety. We neede to do like Singapore and start beating folks who keep their place nasty. beating grown people fukn people in a democracy...that is not the western way--well not in this day and age! I think we can be a bit more pragmatic...say folks with a traffic violation...attach a community service addendum on to their punishment and urban renewal will be one of them. JMO bahamianpride 05-15-07, - 06:49 PM so what's wrong with the picture... hey the sun supposed to shine all the time over the bahamas...or is just over atlantis... anyway somebody call sol and hubert tell them do something bout the sun...or lack thereof PeaznRice 05-16-07, - 01:32 AM Anyone .. comments, ideas .. http://www.bahamassecurity.com/bi/NassauSportsFishing.jpg I find this picture disturbing. I mean Potters is very close to Atlantis which in my opinion is breathtaking with just one look then you come over the bridge from that paradise to this SLOP! I think there is alot of worlk that needs to be done. It will look alot better if they 1) Complete a massive clean up campaign. Get all that junk from under there and out of the water ex: move all those boats out of the water that aren't working, all the conchshells out the sea..and the list goes on and on 2)Rebuild those shacks if possible or fix em up but some of them are in conditions that are deplorable only thing left to do with them is break it down and rebuild. It will look much better if they paint them different colors (think sandyport maybe)..have any of you really seen these shacks when driving into potters cay..its ridiculous. 3)Construct a proper facility for the vendors. It wouldn't be fair for them to have to leave because most of them have no where to go. I'm thinking a mini market type scenery in my head lol.But I say construct a marketplace trust me it'll look more sanitary and organized. 4)Those in authority definitely needs to do something with the docking area at the back. Everything is so clustered. and again remove those boats that aren't in operation taking up space in the back there. The list goes on and on with Potters Cay that needs work lots of it also. |
