I think the poem is very nice, but all of this quarelling over the poem is rather stupid to me. We are all individuals and have a right to our own beliefs and feelings. Though It seems to me that most of you are christian, I am a muslim woman that can still see the beauty of the poem no matter who or where it comes from. Let us not forget that there is only one and he loves us all

It is very interesting that you are a Muslim person. What form do you follow? Perhaps you can open a thread and help to clear up some of the misunderstandings about Islam.

What rights are you referring to? Rights for protection from harm Rights for protection from verbal abuse.
How about the right to get beat up and verbally abused by the police when a young transgender (16 yrs.) goes to report being raped. Then all the legal system wants to look the other way because they see this young person and gay.
Yes those that are different have rights they have the right to be denied marriage to the person they love. Those that are different have the right to lose their jobs for simply being them selves. Those that are different have the right to be made into outcasts.

It would be good to get an Islamic prospective. I would love to hear more from other religions as well.
