Well he ran an excellent 400M yesterday at the Adidas Classic. Came in second I think it was behind Wariner and was in the low 45 second area also. Our 100m record holder also ran and came in 2nd in the 100 at a low 10 secs (correction it was a wind aided 9.86 secs) I think it was. Debbie ran in the 200m but finished in the 5th spot. That was the only 3 Bahamians I saw run in the meet.........................

My bad. It was not a ban, but in fact it was said that he has been left out of track meets.

No disrespect to the sprinters because I KNOW how hard the training and discipline is at this level....

...but there seems to be a great deal of Anti-intellectualism in the Bahamas. I'm not talking about the folks who lord their degrees over other, but the people who try to start genuine dialogue and get shouted down.

I know 5 Bahamians, born right in PMH so I ein talkin ppl of "bahamian heritage," who are at VP and above levels at some of the major financial firms/ stock brokerage here in NY who rather stay far below the radar. I mean so far as it seems that your bothering them just to get them to hang out with other bahamians once a month when we get together. Many of them more American than their co-workers and been in the US for far less time than I have and would be quick to say they avoid the bahamian community cuz as soon as ppl find out what they do they come with their hands out asking for some type of favor or handout. I only can laugh at them tho....................
