A few weeks ago, I heard FNM's in South Beach saying that the PLPs' candidate Wallace Rolle, a personal friend of mine and members of his family who were helping him in his campaign had threaten the lives of PN and his family. In turn, PN had to send his family off in fear for their lives. I had really doubted this rumor but I understood what was going on during the weeks before and after elections so you could put nothing pass no one.
So yesterday, at a family event, minding my own business, I over-heard a rather interesting story.
Hon. PN allegedly assaulted his wife days before the elections so he quickly sent her and the two children to Miami into hiding. The speaker said people in the office in South Beach asked him "where's your wife?" So he created the story.
I am shock, on both sides. One; that WR threaten the life of PN, I seriously doubt that though. What I do believe however, is what I heard, PN first assaulted his wife, sent her to Miami then created the story. Thats evil.....but thats politics right?
I had only heard the 'death threat' rumor in South Beach but the wife beating, I have heard and read across Nassau.
Threatening the life of another is a crime, if PN really felt his life or that of his family was in jeopardy, he should of filed a Police report, the station is a only stones throw from his office in South Beach.
But PN won, I guess that rumor paid off.
I hope his wife is better and don't hold that "lil cut-***" against him though.

If this story is true, and from experience I gather that it probably is not, why would you even make a joke of it? Do you know that domestic violence contributes greatly to the murder rate in this country?

Well, this is the facts of the matter, May 2, 2007, there was a royal cutt behind in South Beach... Phenton put on right on Wallace Rolle, now they cannot get over it.... BY THE WAY, did you al see Mrs. Neymour decked in her best out fits at Government house holding he HUSBAND along with her children....

Proud, anywhere in the Bahamas where food sharin out for free, more food go out the back door that what actually get served to the people. And somehow they always have people servin food with dey face make up like you beggin. It's in the culture. Free food bring out the ugly in people.

Selling of numbers is a crime but all over Nassau and across the Bahamas people are doing and the Police seems not to care. I have my camera in my desk drawer waiting for the next Police car or Government official to pull up to buy numbers.
