Progressive Liberal Party Leader Perry Christie spent three hours online Sunday afternoon, chatting with supporters and other interested Bahamians on the PLP’s website www.myplp.com in the ‘Have Your Say’ section. “I am fascinated to be introduced to this new technology now at our disposal”, said Mr. Christie, “I could never have spoken directly to so many people otherwise. The exchange of views was frank and useful. The level of thought put into the questions clearly shows that Bahamians are more interested in politics now than ever. It is just a continuation of the PLP’s commitment as the party of the Bahamian people to hear and to actually listen."
PLP Web Administrator Andy Burrows controls the data flow as Mr. Christie responds to the online posts. There were over three hundred posts within the first two hours. Mr. Christie will again be available for online response next Sunday 28th May, 2007 at 2.00 p.m.

.. this was pure bs, we all know that Parry cannot even use a key board, never sat before a computer until they put one before him for a pic for the PLP Action Agenda... this was all the doing of Fred Mitchell and all they accepted were suck up from their plp lackies.. but that was their right...

Now I know for a fact that many questions and comments came, and 60% of them were extremely not favourable to the PLP... they should also say that...

It has been a long time comming. They finally after someone had to tell them, that they have to get on the programme as internet chat sites like this, are good forums for getting the message out.

Better late than never. Instead of hi-jacking other peoples sites, the PLP used its own. Hint hint pharoah, watsayu and the rest of the effin ems.

What does the FNM have even close to what the PLP has now?
Aside from hi-jacking other peoples sites, and starting up operatives to appear to be middle of the road, all the time being effin em sympathizers?

Let us see how the plp blog works, and then move on. The bloggy boys operated under an outlet first, and a talk forum second and it worked. Let us see how things work. Quit being so critical of every little thing the PLP does Rory. Please!

My daddy is in his 60's and it took him awhile to get warmed up to "IMing" and e-mails, but now he loves them.

He used to use those old computer terminals at his work in the 80's & 90's so he was more savvy than most his age, but it still took him a while to get used to what he felt was an "intrusion".

Hijacking? Yk2bad starts just as many threads as pharoah and watsayu and rory. Your threads, yk, have their own 'direction' too (e.g. 18 months, etc)

The so-called chat on Sunday was moderated by the myplp.com admin, probably to sanitize the posts that get to PC's eyes and to keep PLP detractors from getting any play. Surrounding yourself with love doesn't always get you the objectivity you want.

BI should have been the arena where both the FNM and PLP could get their message out. Even Cassius.

If PC wants to talk to the people, why won't he talk to all the people? Why just the PLP's? He's already spoken to them and clearly there wasn't enough of them to take the election. He should be reaching out to all Bahamians.

Whatever, I don't see this 'chat room Sundays' thing lasting too long, although I hope I'm wrong.

thing is thoughh he was in front of a mac...I find it hard to believve that he can grasp that platform...when as minister of finance he didnt even know that there is no such thing as zero unemployment.

..now there is a part of the FNM site that is maintained to suit the FNMs interest.. and FNMs like it that way.. so sad.. the PLP started something .....

now the anti-plp comments way out number the positive that the PLP get every hour... but they are not putting them up.. and these letters are now going to encouraged to be (as a copy) be channeld to another Anti- PLP website that should be up and running in a fe days, better then the bloggie boys,
