Parry’s new found friends
Since loosing the elections and now having the distingtion of been the only Prime Minister of the Bahamas to only have one term, Parry Christie now has new found company. Quite frankly there are interesting group of people.
Last Friday, as I made my way down town directly in front of the McDonald’s in the Hilton Hotel is a liquor store owned by political contract killer Ricardo Smith owns a liquor store, up walks Parry, Scum-bag Algernon Allen and George Wilson, all going to have a meeting with Ricardo Smith.
For those of you who do not know Ricardo, let me allow potcake give you a hint.
From Bahamaspotcake.com - Ricardo Smith, first he’s a FNM, then a PLP, then an FNM again, then a PLP again. He wants to be a unionist, so he runs for president and gets knocked on his arse by the late Pat Bain, then he wants to be president of Basketball so he runs the PI league, then somehow winds up winning the New Providence league where he quickly goes down in flames amid scandal and allegations of financial mismanagement. Then he decides he wants to start a semi pro basketball league using high school and college players, knowing that this dumb idea would make them ineligible for scholarships. Then he pops up again as a political operative, this time for Tommy T. When Hubert returns as FNM leader Ricardo decides the PLP’s going to win the next election so he jumps on over to the PLP and tries to ride the coattails of Wallace Rolle and Shane Gibson.
These guys barely even notice Smith so he decides that he’s going to take on the Tribune on behalf of Shane - all of this without so much as speaking with Shane, mind you.
So Ricardo has his protest at the Tribune and makes the front pages, again. But for what? Stupid placards that call the Trib racist and John Marquis ugly! All your potcake could do was shake our head and say ‘you got to kidding me’. That was the PLP website talking about Parry Christie best friend Ricardo Smith.
But you know all about George Wilson and even more then you care to about scum-bag Algernon Allen. But for the life of me, is Parry so desperate and so lost that these are his company these days. Well, my mother always said, birds of a feather flock together”.
