Personally, I hate events that are fashionably overdone, like balls and banquets and stuff like that.

The last red rose ball I went to I sware I thought I was at the circus with the get-ups those women spent all kind of money to wear - its just ridiculous! And they were hating on me in my sexy Macy's clearance rack dress! Dey een know how to work it..lol

LOL...yeah sometimes he seems better off when he is speaking his mind....liek at the swearing-in ceremonies. Perhaps he is practicing....I would go over it at least twice!

Well I really don't like to see women with those big colorful hats PERIOD!!!!. I know that day they will have the large hats the fancy dresses and the hghes of high heel shoes with the matching bags.

I really go to see the defence & police force stand and perform that's all. Well I went last time to Mr & Mrs Christie and maybe i will go again to see Mr & Mrs christie again and MOTHER PRATT too.

I'll be watching. One of these days I'll show up early to watch it in person.
Anyways, I missed watching Parliamentary proceedings on Wednesday on channel 40. lol. I'm glad it's starting back up again. If I thought there was drama before...lol...it's gonna get really hot in there this term...lol.

The problem with watching at home is you only get to see what the cameraman wants us to see. They don't show us the faux pas. Trust me, there does be plenty. Then ya have the reporters with their longwinded self who mixing up the people's names and ting. While you trying to hear the police band they talking, talking.

When you are out there in person, look here, totally different story. I just love my people.

Firstly, get there early!!

The police and defense force bands are always the crowd pleasers and dey does look dead SHARP.

You get to see who rigg up, who is over or under dressed, whose shoes or clothes toooooo tight and who the MPs bring with them while the crowd shouting 'where ya sweatheart is naw?' This is a day for the wives. Not a good day for the sweathearts. As you know, here in The Bahamas, everyone knows who ya sweartheart is and if you don't know, someone ga tell you.

Then off course ya have the fanatical supporters who shout out 'das my Prime Minister right dere that can be both Christie or Ingraham. Then ya have the crew who come to BOO the person who won in the area they live but was not of their chosing. MY people.:dgi:


I leave as soon as the Governor General start the speech from the throne. That speech is normally 50-60 pages long. I don't have that kind of attention span. LOL. Plus governments govern based on which crisis appears. No matter what they intend to do in that speech, situations pop up from time to time that there are no plans for. ie.......The market fire, 911, HURRICANES.

With this weather right now, they better get some big tents!! QIUCK, FAST and HURRY.
