In spite of all of the talk going on around me about members and supporters of the Progressive Liberal Party being in denial about their lost of the recent general elections I paid it no mind because I was convinced that Mr. Christie had genuinely conceded and he was sincere in his commitment to this "healing process" that he said the country needs.

I lost all conviction after I went to this page (http://www.myplp.com/party_mps.php) on the PLP's website on Sunday and checked out their list of MP's. Included in the list (on this site that is "constantly updated") are the following (who lost their seats in the 2007 elections):

Pleasant Bridgewater (Marco City)
John Carey (Carmichael)
Michael Halkitis (Golden Isles)
Allyson Maynard-Gibson (Pinewood)
Leslie Miller (Blue Hills)
Veronica Owens (Garden Hills)
Ann Percentie (Pineridge)
Ron Pinder (Marathon)
Koed Smith (Mt. Moriah)
Neville Wisdom (Killarney)

Since the 2007 General Elections the PLP has dodged numerous allegations of election mischief and corruption. Based on this information alone it seems that Mr. Christie and his band of cohorts are insistent on causing strife while attempting to skewer election results that have remained the same since May 2nd, 2007.

The fudging of figures Tourism arrival figures is a joke to what the PLP is trying to perpetrate with this kind of dangerous propaganda and I am now fearful that our one term former PM and his henchman are intent on engineering a political uprising. This concern is further fueled by recent announcements from the Party about their intent to challenge some results from the electoral process.

Fortunately, for the good of our country, the Progressive Liberal Party lost the 2007 General Elections. Unfortunately, the reality of this loss has not sunk in for party officials and supporters. The party's leadership needs to wake up, smell the sunshine coffee and give some of it to their supporters before their political shenanigans get out of hand!

you think they acting stupid now wait until the house gets in session. i believe they will try to get ingraham to call another elecion by disrupting the house, disagree with bills that will benefit the bahamian people and twist facts and lie to the public. fred mitchell will lead the pack in this endeavor.

Why you tink dey having "live" chat and whatever every Sunday and say they tryna make PC more accessible to the people? They campaignin! They will try to force another general election and they probably have their fraud tactics down pack this time! BEWARE! Never underestimate the power of desperation. They don't want to let go.

The PLP have NO RESPECT for the will of the Bahamian people. They want to force their will on us. Their webmaster was online, I can confirm for sure, on Sunday. Why is their website still listing those people as MP's? NO RESPECT... for their country, for the electoral process or for you and me.

Listing the defeated candidates on their website I feel is a deliberate attempt to cause strife, and to misinform. This site is not only viewed by people in the Bahamas ya know! Anoter site that needs to be updated is the Bahamas Government site, which still lists Ivy Dumont as Governor General in the Directory. Keep it up to date or take it down! This is disgusting! Sorry for people who go there looking for official information on our country. They will be grossly misinformed!

Crisis? Chile PC wont even be leader of the PLP in a few months when the PLP holds its convention!

Plus, Mr. Christie never announced that his party is contesting anything. Let's be clear about this. The media is quoting some unnamed political strategist on this story about contesting. Only Mr. Christie can really say if that's what his party will do - not some phantom (Phil Galanis) who claims he doesnt want to be named.

Moreover, their dumb strategist says they think people were regsitered to vote in some areas that shouldnt have - HELLER - who was in charge of the electoral process? Wasnt it the same party whose ghost men now say they are contesting? If that is the case, then YOU are at fault - not the FNM or any other party on the ballot. Dey dumb nah.

My sentiments exactly!! He knows that he has the people behind him and in a democracy that's all that matters. He will get his agenda through, and HI will go through Perry if he have to. HI ain't easy and he got more balls than Christy have hair!!

Either way HI has solidify the party and there will be no dissension. After all all the MP's are happy with something to do. HI is a political genius. I predict when it all boils down the PLP will be decimated and in total confusion. In fact we might soon have a bye-election and it ain't no FNM constituency either.:shhh:

No I don't think it's about election, they want to obscure the facts of their time in office.

It amazes me, the gullibility and immaturity of the Bahamian electorate...that we would suggest or support the idea of denying any citizen their constitutional right to challenge - in da courts - the results of an election.

Are we so afraid of the clarity that we do not wish out truths to undergo scrutiny?

dude they screwed the election process up not the fnm. all of a sudden they want to challenge these seats? you know if they change the results there will be hell in this country! while this country is getting over this election and are peaceful they should not waste the peoples time with another bi- election in those seats. they should let bygones be bygones and move on with their lives.
