Is the Seat-Belt law still in force? Or was it ever in force?
I only ask because I see fewer and fewer people using seat-belts these days.

Why do we make laws we cannot, will not, or are not ready to enforce? It makes a mockery of the law. Rory 04-03-04, - 11:34 PM That brings up an interesting question. I read that the men who robbed RJ's escaped in a vehicle with "heavily tinted" windows! Why are the police still allowing people to drive around in vehicles with these tinted windows?! Even with drivers who are not criminals, it's an inconvenience to the general driving community, e.g. if I stop at an intersection and want to turn right or left, and another driver stops on the other side, I often can't see if that driver is waving for me to go or not because of that vehicle's heavily tinted windows! Heavily-tinted windows are against the law but you see them on a large number of cars. All these cars have to be inspected once a year but somehow the inspectors never see it!!?? The problem is tinted windows, all round the car, that are so dark that one cannot see the driver etc. I drove such a car once, it was a rental. I must admit that I liked it! It was cooler and there was a feeling of privacy. However, at night it was like driving with sunglasses on! That is another danger of tinted windows. |
