I take "this thing of religion" very seriously when it is used to discriminate against people. Most especially when the interpretation made by its leaders have been proven to be wrong in the past. Most of the people that discriminate can't live up to the ideals they use to discriminate with. Some how they just don't look in the mirror when they are pointing their fingers at people. They sure do know how to point out in their scriptures the words that make their point. But just can't seem to see the rest of the words.
Its wrong its wrong and I will keep holding up a mirror and pointing to the words they don't want to see. I will keep pointing out the mistakes of the past because some how they just look away.

This is the Bahamas, there is alot of discrimination, and other things. For example, at a certain well known restaurant, they only hire females, that is discrimination, and would be cause for a lawsuit elsewhere.

Batelco just announced that Voice over IP is punishible by the law now in the Bahamas. That is coruption, monopolisation, communism, whatever it is it is wrong, else where there are no problems with it. I just hope that when/if they do privatise, another private company say from canada or whereever, comes in and puts them out of business!

Next the government will be saying anyone that is not a 'born again' christian or doesnt go to church, is breaking the law! But at the same time, its okay to be a drug dealer, or take hand outs :-0

I used to think that that was the best way to be, nice and open and honest, so that people will always know where you are coming from! Eventually I found that many persons hated me for that! It had caused me to lose many good jobs and promotions! Trouble was, I never understood why?

But one day after church, just a few months ago, I mentioned it to a brother, and I believe he hit the nail on the head. He gave me the answer to something that was puzzling me most of my life. He simply said that persons who are frank and outspoken are not liked because many people don't like to hear the truth!

I really believe this is so. I believe that if you were an angel, or the best person in the world a human being could possibly be, you will still find that some people will like you and some will not; and only the good Lord will know WHY!

So my dear, just take it easy and relax. All the energy, etc, you are using to try to convince people or try to help them to see the truth could cause you to become ill, or have a bad effect on you. And those you are railing against would be right there going along their merry way, with their same old messed up attitudes!

Please accept this advice in the spirit in which it is given, ie, with an honest and sincere heart.

Great Demos you have just made all my effort worthwhile. You now see me as an equal human being. You see I am not saying everybody should be transgendered or homosexual or even have to be friends with them. But everybody should be accepted and respected as human. The laws and society should reflect this.

You say, "If no one speaks out injustice will continue". This is true. Sometimes, though, you will come across some persons who are so hard-hearted, so implacable (like a Hitler or a Saddam Hussein), you would not be able to get through to them no matter what. I have seen some Bahamians like that! In situations like that, I would just "shake the dust off my feet" and walk away.

Somehow, it seems that as time goes on, justice seems to be getting less and less -- I think this is a Bible prophecy.

but i do believe in your convitions to hold some people accountable, but just make sure in your quest for retribution...dont make your self out to be an easy mark for retribution yourself.

The only liberation I want is for all to be equal and free to have the faith/religion they want if they even want a religion. For as long as I have life I will hold up a mirror to those that are hypocrites.

The story of Adam and Eve are based on real truth, and has been passed down from generation to generation.I think you have the translation of the story from the greeks and romans, confused witht he actual account of oral tradition from egyptian and hebrew texts. It was a story about innocence, and sex, and a moral code on following law, and Gods mercies and justice..I have a paticular belief on the story, but you probably have a set view on aetheism.

i beleive in creationism, and evolution and they are intertwined, as creationism was brought about by creation!
we are ever evolving...and the story of the garden depicts that of an awaken mind!

if you are men with science on your side, then you must understand the power of theory, and the power of thesis...

you can never understand something in science if you dont look at the theory provided by the author...dont look with the shallow part of your brain, but look at the implications of the situations and people involved at that time.

You know something y2kbad, I agree with much of this post. Considering the goodness and blessings we have here in the Bahamas (although there is still much room for improvement), I just hope and pray we don't get infiltrated with those junky "religions" which would bring curse on our Bahamaland. There are signs of some of them being here!
