As my thread said earlier after reading bahamasuncensored and comments made by plps like jessem any white bahamian that votes or runs for the plp party should have their heads examined. Yes some would say it's just fred but the silence from the entire party means they condone it. they are no better than the kkk in their remarks and just as ignorant and would you ask a black man to vote for or support the kkk? or any white man for that matter ?at least the kkk is honest in their hatred of the black man but the plp pretends to like the white man because they want the white man's money but expect them to have no rights and that they can berate them in any way they please. i do not condone the kkk so i cannot condone the plp. A racist is a racist i don't care what colour you are. Many white bahamians contribute greatly to this country and they help a lot of black people just because they don't announce it in public doesn't mean it's not s. so whe jeessem ask what white people have in common with the average black man he is obviously ignorant of this fact or does not want to know.:realmad:

I am with you on this one.

It is only the intellectually unenlightened who side with the views promulgated by Fred and Jesse.

If for no other reason, it offends the Golden Rule, or Christianity or any other moral code.

If we want to develop as a country, we must collectively ditch these parochial attitudes.

Maybe Fred likes the Bahamas as a tinpot banana republic.

Think of a new topic of perspective...

You already said that you think Fred is a racist...about 20 times already.
what else can you say...

It has been said he who does know his history is in danger of repeating it. Through the history of the caribbean one group has always held power over the majority of the people. In todays world that group this holds power in most cases they control the economics of the country while others give the appearance that the majority controls all aspects of the country.
whether Trinidad, jamaica, haiti or the bahamas things have not changed. So therefore if one group still has the balls to point this fact out then so be it.
Whether we like it or not the the old UBP is still alive and have always found away to influence our politics. Learn your history look at the death of the UBP and the birth of the free plps and then the birth of the fnm. study the role of the eastern road in bahamian politics. Our first pm realised that there was a need to work with all parties for the betterment of our homeland just like the former prime minister but their is a difference when you sell your soul.
Can we forget when we wanted independence the role of the old UBP and that great island of Abaco or the role of the old guard in both the 1987 and finally the 1992 elections. please before you speak know your history.

you're not trying to say that we must beware of the return of the UBP are you? and that they will take us back to the days of prejudism and racism?
do you honestly think us black bahamians will simply stand by like sheep and allow that? come on man. get real.

you mentioned Eastern road (the rest doesn't interest me), most peeps living on eastern road are new residents, meaning they rent, or bought within the past 1-20 years .. and dont have any political influence ... let alone any real kind of $$ (lyford cay or ocean club type $$) ..

Now remember, Eastern Road is a long road .. many many homes and apartments on this road .. many bahamians (both black and white), french, canadian, american, haitian, english, chinese, and others ... so I dont see what Eastern road has to do with politics .. might have back in King Ping's dealin days, perhaps way before that in the UBP days .. but not anymore..

knowing your history and being racists are two entirely different things so what is your point there? the ubp is gone and bahamians getting along in a civil society will not be the cause to bring them back.

I know my history .. I was born in 1971 ... my history started then .. well as soon as I was old enough to know whats what ..

Otherwise .. ive been robbed some 10+ times, all by black men, kidnapped twice by black men, attacked with axes by black men ... thats my history too, but I hold nothing against black men, nor will I dwell on that for the remainder of my life, and these are things that actually happened in MY life.

When i see a bum I see a bum, when I see a thug I see a thug, when I see a normal person, I see just that, a normal person .. not the color of their skin ..

I disagree - I was home this week giving a seminar at the Hilton. After my seminar two officers in the "young plp" came and started up a political conversation with me. Because of my background they wanted to know what I thought of the recent election. They told me they need young white energetic PLPs to help lead the party and encouraged me to get involved in the leadership. I was completely shocked to hear it to be honest - but this was what they thought the party needed. Race differentiations amoung the youth is much less evident than the older generation and this is how they also want the party to be led. I think that the strategy is good, assuming the PLP is ready for a reorganzation of leadership.
