At about 9:30 Sat. night, one of my friends who was at the PLP thank-u rally called a said how poor the turn out was at the rally...not even half of the yard was occupied!

I said "man that can be so...all this noise they making bout they gat the popular vote and ting!

So I got outta ma house and went down there to see for ma sef...wan get a look to see how serious them "we win the election" ninnies were!

Low and behold, when I arrived, I could't see more than 500 people...and perry up on the stage talkin he head off!!!!

After we had one big damn laugh...we left and gone home!

Nah...on Tuesday morning...I see pictures in the tribune...with plenty people...and a stage with a canopy over it...when the one did not have a canopy!

Nah I show these pictures to my daughter...who went down there with me and she said: " they lie nah...they een the the same place...and look that ting over the stage...they een had none of them down there"!!

She believes that someone is "monkeying" around with the pictures of the rally...and I tend to agree!

Anyone can help out here! Is my daughter wrong?

Their pictures show that there was not a huge crowd out there though licks. Im a photographer and the angles, etc show that the crowd was not in fact, huge. There were people there ofcourse, yes, but it wasnt a mass event from what the photos show.

Description

PLPs and all interested Bahamians are invited to a mega Thank You Rally this Saturday at the Carnival Site of the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre starting at 7 PM.

PLPs, come out in your gold gear and lets show the country and the world that we are proud of our team and we are ready whenever elections are called. We have a lot of work to do and this Saturday, our leader, the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie will share the plan for the way forward and update you on just how far off course the FNM has taken us.

Come out and bring a friend. Our country needs us and lets show the world that we were down and we got up stronger and mightier than before.

The rally will begin on time at 7 PM so please make every effort to attend.

LL, I went there and saw it myself. Interestingly, there were two ads for the same rally with the dates going in reverse. The site Admin must be just getting off!

You are right it was a poor turn out. About 500 people while perry was speaking. But there was a canopy, a white one.

even though the PLP lost....according to the ad they suppose to have "popular vote" and "more dan them".....CHA!!!!!

I don't know which rally you went to but it was not at the Q.E Sports Centre!!!

There was a 4-5 feet high stage and there was also a covering over the stage....

Around the time BJ was speaking it started to rain slightly and a drove of persons left but some stayed..When you passed that was about a little more than half of the persons who were there that night...

So maybe you need glasses!!

I was a little disappointed in the crowd because the park was about half full at its maximum...

Some of the persons there who work for the govt also told me that they were afraid to wear their shirts because they were already being threatened on their jobs...

It goes to show how photographers can munipulate camera shorts to send the message that they want.

But I can't understand how you could think that the Tribune of all papers would try to make the PLP look good!!!

but you know there are some people who really believe this and they also think there will be a by-election next year and the PLP will win next year CHA!!!!!

they een seeing it like that, they believe the "swing voters" who voted for the FNM will "swing" back to the PLP b/c the FNM has done such an awful job in 18 months....a far stretch, I know, but Perry dem have all they fingers n toes crossed!!!
