View Full Version : PLP Joke..Making Mockering of the Constitution
Perry Christie has the guts to say that the FNM is making a mockery of the Constitution of the Bahamas. It seems to me that under the PLP the Constitution did not exist.
Perry forgot how his Boundaries Commission did not meet on time like the constitution outlined, he forgot about the Judiciary Commission meeting on time to pay the judges, for two consecutives times, the PLP failed the judges constitiutionally in this regard, and they have the balls to talk about mockery of the constitution.
Sidney Stubbs never was suppose to be offered as a broke candidate to run in the 2002 election, constitutionally, but he did. At no time in the Bahamas we are suppose to have two Registrar General, but under the PLP we had two, because one Elizabeth Thompson was victimized.
The PLP keeps forgetting the Law of God, "What you sow you will reap."
They should never forget the strength and forces of Karma.
I am convinced that the PLP believes that the Laws and Constitution of the Bahamas applies to everyone except PLP's.
The PLPs are no statesmen, they are power hungry.
canesfins 05-30-07, - 10:37 AM You make no sense. Of course you have to abide by the constitution. Just because you interpret certain activities as in violation of the consitution means that the FNM should have a free pass to do so as well. Stop with your partisan attacks and mockery - be a little objective

So what are you saying?
The opposition should stand idly by and let the FNM Government do as they wish. Tell me, what kind of Bahamas would that leave for you and me?
The violations of the constitution that took place from 2002 - 2007 by the PLP government should have been exposed and highlighted by the then Opposition FNM. THAT WAS THEIR JOB. If they did'nt do it, that's their problem.
The NOW PLP opposition has a Job to do on behalf of The Bahamian people, and I for one look forward to them doing it.

Maybe if the PLP followed the constitution and did their job back then, they might have still been in power today.LoL.......Late AGAIN!
BUT THE FACT IS THE PLP MAKES A BETTER OPPOSITION THAN GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE JUST FOLLOWERS TRYING TO BE LEADERS:)

Get it right. I couldn't give a heck who is the government or the opposition is once they both do the job that the taxpayers are employing them to do.

Free, what you are saying is very correct, and in my opinion will always be the situation with our system of governance no matter which political party is in power..
These things happen because of how the system is set up: The House Speaker is a govt party member, the Attorney General is a govt party member, the PM has too much power, etc, and on and on...
With a setup like that, there could NEVER be the proper checks and balances in the way we are governed -- and even if the party in power has all the virtues and good graces of angels,  some will eventually become corrupt and do things that are unbecoming of members of our honourable house of assembly..
This is my honest, objective evaluation of our system of governance after watching it for over 50 years...I have preached this from the rooftop on BI for sometime now!
canesfins 05-31-07, - 10:13 AM Demos - unfortuantely that is the Westminster system at its finest. We are stuck with a flawed system. The only thing that keeps this flawed system in check is a strong opposition.

Thanks Canes. So this fine Westminster system works OK in Britain, right? Wondering why it does not seem to work well here.. right now we have a strong opposition whose leader is acting a bit strange.
Seems like it will be really interesting to see how they will pan out..

One would think that the FNM who seemed to know the constitution better than anyone else would not get caught trying to break it themselves!!
It was the FNM who played like they were so law abiding and now that the PLP is pointing out a fault to them you try to make it into a joke.
Don't attack the messenger deal with the message..The FNM should be held to a higher standard than the last PLP govt don't you think???
They made it seemed like they would uphold the laws to the fullest!!!
So make as much jokes as you want the question still remains are they breaking the constitution or not???
Or do you want them to face the same judgement that the PLP faced???

And yall want healing when all you are doing is adding fuel to the fire!!!
No wonder the PLPs are so angry!!
Taunt as much as you want it would only make matters worse...

Has the leader of the opposition done anything illegal????
Then what's so strange about the way he is acting???
Many people thought the same thing about HI over the past 2 years!!
