A time bomb waiting for the right moment to explode.
year after year we brave the untamed waves and winds of mother nature to reach that final destination that promises wild fun and promiscuity.
For decades bahamians just seem to 'fling' good sense and personal safety to the wind. Pride and self respect seems to drop 'a ground'. Mail boats are packed to capacity, straining to mantain its seam. A faint reminder of slave ships making its passage from Africa to the new world.
Music pulsating at a feverish pitch partially dressed she-devils gyrating their bodies in a bewitching and spellbound motion, as if controlled by an unseen demonic force. The devil's tonic being consumed as if it were a gift of eternal life.
Bodies lying in a comatose state of sleep, across an open deck boat, designed to be a carrier of freight and not people. There amidst the ocean wide and deep, a disaster waits the right moment to appear.
Then it happened, two freighters collide. A crane took leave of its secure base forcing itself on those unsuspecting persons while they yet slept. Bodies being tossed overboard imagine the ear pearcing screams that bellowed out in the dark of night amidst the wide deep blue sea.
