I saw Dr. Bethel at a function the other day and wondered why the PLP didn't run him this last election. He is one of the only decent MP's they had( I think he was a good Mininister of Health too). A good man with lots to offer the Bahamas.

Dr. Bethel, don't mind Perry dem push you on the side for BJ. The whole Bahamas know BJ can never match your character and integrity.

Ya know what? Now that I tink about it, Dr. Bethel could make a good leader for the PLP. What y'all tink?

They did not run him because he decided not to run.
He had a vision of the future I guess.

But he made the call.

never worked with him...he and I attend the same church ie when I am in Freeport.. Start of the Sea... but I can also agree Dr. Marcus Bethel is a decent man..but he is a PLP maybe his judgement in the political area is a bit clouded... or maybe that is what he was born into... .

I read somewhere that Dr. Bethel's father ran for the PLP back in the day, so that may be where his political affiliation comes from.

Do you, the members of BI feel that he is suitable to become leader of the PLP?

They didnt push him aside, he left the frontline. In fact, he threatened to resign from the Senate when the former PM shuffled his cabinet and gave Marcus a "non-ministry", giving health to BJ Nottage.

Marcus went back to what he does best, making money in the medical industry. Plus he is expanding his medical facility here in Freeport so, he een hurtin.

.. last I heard of him.. he was not doing so well.. I know we had fund raiser for him, as you know his brother is one of the best organist in the catholic church in the Caribbean....I am not sure.. but I know that the Catholic Education ystem is still where he works.. but I can let you know by PM, when I find out...

Yes Dr. Bethel works for Lucayan Medical.. he has a great team there and a personal friend is on his staff... she is a great eye doctor... one of the best in town...
