View Full Version : New York Yankees
sellie 06-01-07, - 06:47 PM Are there any sports enthusiasts other than me on this board, if there is, do you think the Yankees can make the playoffs this year. The pitching is extremely terrible, Clemens should be on the big league roster this week but he can only go once in five days, the boss is upset and thinking about getting rid of Cashman. Wow, its not June yet and my Yankees are looking dismal.
I am hoping for a miracle second half but hope it isnt too late by then.

Hell yeah there are sports enthusiasts on this board!
I am also a Yankee/Mavericks/Packers fan.
I to am hoping that they turn around this dissmal season start. I can't take any more bad news in my sports world. My MAVS got kicked out in the first round by a no name team like Golden State, My sports hero Brett Farve almost dropped a nuc on me, but I agree that the Packers GM passed up on a once in a lifetime offer. To have a wide reciever spread that include Randy Moss, Donald Driver, and the stunning Rookie would have made my year. So right now, Giambi /Arod/ and Jeter need to rally the boys up and haul *** into the post season thrushold. Hope is still alive!
PS: What's up with this rumor of trading KOBE for DIRK! That's ridiculous man. You can't trade the MVP!

Does wrestling and ultimate fighting count?
Does wrestling and ultimate fighting count?
Yeah! The ultimate fighting, wrestling is for su:taped2:actors man. It's not real. The only real thing that ever happened was the death of Owen.

welcome back star
RockWell 06-01-07, - 09:45 PM NEW YORK -- Yankees slugger Jason Giambi will be shelved for at least three weeks and could miss the remainder of the season with torn tissue in the arch of his left foot.
@ i-omega....Cool runnings buddy, never went no where, just allot on my plate right now.Thank Jah for the holidays. :)
sellie 06-01-07, - 09:47 PM Well its great to be in a sporting environment here on BI, tired of da politics and transgender issues.
Truebahamian while some of what you say maybe true, I disagree that all of the recent championships by the Yanks were bought. On those teams we key players that game from the farm system that included key pitching as well. And we all as baseball fans know a great team is built around great pitching.
Look at the Braves long run, I mean only one world series win in that time but i think 15 or 16 division titles.
As for the Yankees we have good potential arms on the farm but not really ready now.
I think Giambi is finish for the year, he put his foot in his mouth and for no reason. His conscience was beating him bad.
Anything is possible especially in sports, but we looking up outta a deep hole, to try make the playoffs now.
ps. Cant wait for August for preseason football.
Diehard Bearfan.

This is were you and I have a big problem! You bear fans need to know ya'll place in the NFC North. That's usually at the bottom or in third. Either way don't be getting all comfortable in our spot. PACKERS RULE!!!:hammer:
sellie 06-01-07, - 09:53 PM Jer, I cant comment on wrestling stop watching it about 20yrs ago, in the days of Kevin Sillivan, Purple Haze, Abuda-dean and the likes and what is the Ultimate fighting?
Nevertheless it sounds as though wrestling is still good entertainment and if Nascar and the Derby is sports then wrestling is too.
Question: In horse racing who is the athlete, the horse or the jockey?

B21 this could be a long argument and i wont be up that late, I am gonna be honest, tho. After 85-86 the Bears were bad and you couldnt find many Bearfans owning up to the stinkness.
But for the last 6-7 years we owned the NFC north, I'll give it to you, the Packers had it great years with Favre but really he should leave now, I read he's coming back for another season.
As for the Bears I see us back to the superbowl again. There will be many bandwagoners but us true Bearfans we are proud of whats happening now because we endured all those horrible years and #1 and first round picks that never worked out, im so glad to be a contender these days. 10yrs plus ago I couldnt even pick my own team on my pool sheet. That hurt then.
I hope to be alive to see my Celtics get back to the glory days as well.

Baseball has got to be one of the most boring sports to watch. I can go to a live game; thats about it. So, on June 12, who will win? Stout or fisher? Another big fight in july with ortiz. Any comments? What about golf? Any golf fans? I like golf but its dead to expensive to play. Over PI only rich foreigners can play unless you loaded of course. Sucks, when will a regular public course be developed? I heard one was in the works but I bet ya after a year it will be all run down or overtaken by jungalas.
