View Full Version : We have a NEW Prime Minister, his name is Hubert Ingraham..........
FACTS ONLY 06-06-07, - 08:35 AM Our new Prime Minister should have been sworn in on Thursday May 3rd. He was not sworn in until Friday May 4th.
First time EVER a Bahamian PM was not sworn in the day after the elections. Remember why? The previous party were still counting and counting the ballots. The results NEVER changed by the way.
A usually bold and boisterious Ingraham, said nothing.
He was not in charge of the electoral process so he stepped back and let them count and count.
The PLP's radio psuedo canidates fanned the flames by saying the results were going to be changed, 21-20 in favor of the PLP. All day and night Thursday May 3rd, rumors were flying fast and furious. Consequently, a PM could not be sworn in that morning. The PLPs begun to celebrate and gather at their HQ. Late into the night, the former PM, looking dejected, finally came out to end the chaos.
A usually bold and boisterious Ingraham, said nothing.
The PLP had 'Our Plan', the FNM, had 'The Manifesto'. Both came out late. Obviously nobody read them.
If anyone did, they wouldv'e realized that while the ideas were similar, they were quite different.
We the people were going to chose to continue in the same unbroken vein with the PLP, or go an entirely different route with the FNM.
The party with the most seats win. Simple as that.
The FNM won the most seats. Our route is now different.
We have a PM who sees, and wants to do things diffrently. He won that right. I mean afterall if we wanted no changes, the former party wouldv'e won right?
Well, we have a new PM. His name is Hubert Ingraham. There is NO law that says he HAS to do things the way the former administration did them. No way!! He has a mind of his own.
He will get from me the same thing I gave Perry Christie when I voted PLP in 2002.
A full year for me to see where he is headed and where he wants to take us.
Thats right, I full year of full support.
As a nationalist though, it is my hope that he gets my full support for the 5 years.
If I am a diehard anything, its a diehard Bahamian.:bouncy:
12play 06-06-07, - 09:01 AM Facts this is a tangential point, but still related and it is this; who is Paul Moss, and why is an announcement of Moss joining the PLP officially national news? Why should the public care about Paul Moss?

FACTS ONLY 06-06-07, - 02:56 PM AND?
How old are you? You said you voted before so you must be at least 18. Act like it. You are acting like a pesky, buzzing mosquito waiting to get smashed. Take it easy if you want to engage in adult conversations. Word to the wise..........
Some people, when they open a post and disagree with it, are able to restrain themselves by closing that thread. Some, if they agree, respond. Others don't even bother when they see the tittle of the thread.
Hardly any, except that not so sorely missed yk2, become nuisances.
Surely, you don't want to end up in that crew. Right now, this village does not have, or need, an idiot. The application is not out yet even though we know your resume. You don't have to call us, we'll call you!!
I'm sure you can add more to a debate than 'AND'.

I agree that PROUDPLP can be nauseating at times but I have to agree with her on this one.
AND?
I mean what is the debate? Every right thinking person knows who the Prime Minister is, and of course we know his name, how could we not...It's all about HIM; because definitely the FNM is dead in the water without him. Fact is he allowed the FNM party to experience political obscurity from 2002 to 2005 just to show you guys that without him you are nothing. So the FNM without HAI is really a party devoid of leadership material. Do you really think that the FNM would be in power without HAI?
I say, Thank God for HAI. Without him, we would've been stuck with the PLP for another 5 years.

You again, firstly, I have no idea who you were refering to when you say 'you guys'.
Secondly, I supported the PLP in 2002. I never lost any sleep wondering where Ingraham was between 2002-2005. I did however lost a few minutes wondering where Christie's testicles were between that time. If he had pulled them down, Ingraham, in my opinion would not have stand a chance.
Thirdly, I am not clairvoyant(sp), I don't know, or care where the FNM wouldv'e been, it makes no difference now. When I stepped into the polling station with my ONE (1) ballot, I had hoped the FNM would win this time. If it wasn't Ingraham, it could have been JACK SPRAT. All I wanted was a change.
I am not a card carrier of any party. As you notice I, for one, was unable to respond to your post on diehards as I am not one.
As usual, we agree on one (1) thing. Thank God for HAI. Without him, we wouldv'e been stuck with the PLP for another 5 years.
By the way, I have 2 little boys in another room doing their homework. I vote for them, not party.
Go bark up another tree with your 'you guys'.

Does it have to be a debate? I think it was a statement, like many people make on BI...or anywhere.
Whoever wants to make a confrontation will make a debate out of a statement.

Chancellor, are you sure you want to ask me that question? FACTSONLY made a statement and wanted to turn it into a debate. I reiterate that we all know who the Prime Minister is and the question to his statement is still
