I think that every single MP should have his/her own website (or page on their party's site) that keeps their constituents informed as to what the MP is up to.
Each MP should have every single daily Bahamian newspaper article that mentions them uploaded to the site, including articles that are critical of the MP. The site should also include a calendar of events in the constituency and a forum for constituents to ask their MP questions.
This will show constituents that the MP is not afraid to show the public what he/she is up too, and will provide a database that voters can use to make decisions when it is election time. Naturally, the MP could use a part of the site to defend his/her actions.
I think it should be the obligation of each and every MP to keep their constituents informed of his/her actions and activities. If all MP’s were to embrace this there would be a heightened accountability standard for our elected politicians.
It is about time that we force our MP’s to remember that they are our civil servants and they are accountable to the voting public.
MP’s must realize they must keep their constituents informed and be accountable for their actions.
Hopefully this challenge will be embraced my some MP’s, and then the public will see which MP’s are willing to make an effort.

Well regarding paying for it:
Most MP's have constiteuncy office assistants (paid by the party) and have volunteers. They can upload the articles and update the site.
They would need a scanner (what a hundred bucks or so?) for the Tribune since Guardian and Bahama Journal already online.
They could easily get a freewebsite like www.freewebs.com or they could pay a couple hundred a year for a good one, and I'm sure they can get money from private donors and from their own party.....there is no reason for government (our) money to be spent on this.

Also, I just remembered, MP's should keep a schedule of their office hours on the site so us lowly constituents know when we can go see our high and mighty mps.
