seeing as how i missed yet another martial arts event over the weekend..i was wondering if those in the know could list whatever martial arts (especially karate) events. thank ya folks :)

This Sunday, Alien vs. Pepper, Taekwondo and Shotokan Karate, Displays with Weapons and light sparring.

lol...man i'm serious. i was watching a few WKF finals matches, and i personally know bahamians that can take them easy (much better timing, speed, power). makes me wonder WHAT ARE WE DOING PEOPLE?!

Right now we should have been preparing for Beijing '08, but no one seems to want to get our act together.

Back in my days of karate we would kick much behind and take names every time we would go to the US for tournaments (National School of Self Defense - Sensei Frankie Adderley).

Just like in running, we have natural talent when it comes to martial arts. We need to put some of these "hard foot" little boys and girls up to the challenge.

Of course, martial arts builds discipline too.

This summer, we at Island Jujutsu & Karate Center have partnered with 'Safety N.E.T Kids' to bring to you a summer camp centered around child abuse and abduction prevention.

At The Island, we aim to teach a comprehensive approach to self defense. We realize that knowledge is power. It is the mission of Safety N.E.T. Kids to raise the level of awareness in kids, about the threats facing them today including, that of child sexual abuse and abduction (child safety), and childhood bullying.


We encourage you to take advantage of this proven and tried program.

Programs Offered

HOME SAFETY
PASSWORD PROTECTED
SELF DEFENSE



There will be three sessions beginning;

Session 2

Session 3

16 July 2007 - 27 July 2007

Daily

Monday - Friday
7:30am - 1pm
