the nassau gurdian is reporting mudslides on JFK Drive in front of Lake Killarney.
I thought that lake was Lake Cunningham. am I mistaken?

BahamaWave, you are quite correct as that it is Lake Cunningham. Is it a mistake or the writer just dont know. You know it also bothers me a lot when I see the print media make these kind of mistakes, while I know to err is human, some things just aint acceptable.
For example I constantly read in the papers, Blue Hill Road, when it is actually Balliou Hill Road.

There is a current thread talking about engineers on this board, I think that whole JFK debacle is an engineering issue. Someone should have advised that it would have happened. I said it from I saw all the construction going on up there.

Thank you. And you know it will only get worse as construction increases along that hill. What is needed is a retaining wall of some sort or they must landscape sooner or not clear the land as they do.

I think the retaining wall will be the best solution, such a steep slope. I have seen landscaping done in hilly areas using a net to retain the soil in place to prevent erosion. This may work if done correctly with the correct material to retain the weight from coming lose.

Actually as I think about it more a combination of all of these things would be the best solution.
