canesfins 06-21-07, - 08:47 PM I will be part of the Miami Dade County - Bahamas trade mission. Any Bahamian companies taking part?
These types of endeavors are great for international trade and I am pleased to attend.

Bad Service, Bad Support, Bad Manners, English Language Barriers.
Been there done that.
I go up north, further away from Florida the better.
Anywhere but South Florida.

Thats a big chunck of area you cutting out and so close too. But if its less headache then maybe its worth it.
canesfins 06-21-07, - 09:37 PM Well I am curtious, nice, english speaking and Bahamian in South Florida.
It starts next Wednesday thrusday and friday. I am meeting with HI and the cabinet as well as the US Embassy and a number of different networking events.
It is a good event for trade relations between Bahamian and Florida businesses.

well i can get the product faster and cheaper from New York (as well as other cities) they stock everything, thats the thing, plus they respond to emails. All the major players (in my industry) that I dealt with in the South Florida area, had issues. Not saying all there are like that, but the ones I did deal with over a few years time, took long to get the product as they rarely stocked the items I wanted (i am specific in what I want), got angry when you called to check to see where the products are (even when it was 2 months later!!), never replied to email, and well there was the spanish language ... if you live in an english speaking country, or at least if you are going to be selling to english speaking persons, learn English!!
another good thing about buying from up north, you dont get stuck with Latin American products. :D
