When did he know this? At election time and he said nothing because he thought they were voting for him? How does he know they were not voting for him?
It is also reported: "Mr. Miller says that on May 2 he saw a man he knows did not reside in Blue Hills. He says he confronted the man in the presence of a uniformed police officer about voting in the Blue Hills Constituency.
"He responded to me with much profanity that he indeed did not live in Blue Hills, but he along with a hundred other persons were voting in this constituency to vote me out," he says."
That does not sound like Mr. Miller. He is a guy that kicks up a fuss over anything. Do you really think he would back down over something as bad as voting in the wrong place, deliberately!
Exrated 06-29-07, - 08:20 AM then they shouldve contested the votes on election day

watsayu 06-29-07, - 09:10 AM Former Blue Hills MP Leslie Miller has sworn an affidavit naming 48 people he says voted in the constituency in the May 2 general election who were not Bahamians.
Mr. Miller says that on May 2 he saw a man he knows did not reside in Blue Hills. He says he confronted the man in the presence of a uniformed police officer about voting in the Blue Hills Constituency.
"He responded to me with much profanity that he indeed did not live in Blue Hills, but he along with a hundred other persons were voting in this constituency to vote me out," he says.
Mr. Miller says there are numerous constituents that he knows personally whose homes he has visited who came to the Blue Hills polling stations to cast their votes and were turned away because their names did not appear on the Blue Hills register and the names that appear on the list were among those who were turned away.
He says that at least four persons who were resident in the constituency of Blue Hills and were registered to vote in the 2007 general election were denied an opportunity of doing so by the presiding officers at the polls.
This man, Mr. Miller talked about wsa me, BI members would recall that I stated here that I was responsible fover the last four years to getting at least 100 plus persons to regrister, I also said I made arrangements for each of them to wait for me and take no insrtuctions from NO one execpt me... I also ensured that each of these voters were lagit, Mr. Miller does not have a case... but I take great pleasure in taking the stand to explain to the world why, this Bahamian was willing to unseat the PLP and Leslie Miller in paticilur.. by the way, I did not use not one $1.00 to get these people to regrister or to the polls.
I just told them that Leslie s destroying them as a people....by the way, I never cussed Mr. Miller at all, but I cerainly slamed my ballot int the BOX an said this is Pay Back...All in the voter'r room laughed.. the PLP agents told me to carry my.. you know what.. I responded whatever.. the sad part about it.. they never challenged my vote at all

I also wonder why he would not have said/done somthing about this on election day? It just does not add up! We all know Miller can raise a stink so the question is why the cat had his tongue on election day if he is telling the truth?

Even if you are telling the truth it's great I don't have to take your word for it. This is a case. It will be interesting to see what the end result will be in the courts. Because if those 300 people end up being illegal votes then they cost the FNM at least two seats because effort would have been better spent getting legal votes. .
Alien 06-29-07, - 09:50 AM When did he know this?
He just said how he knew it. And in fact, they know it more now when we see it play out in court; they have a case.
At election time and he said nothing because he thought they were voting for him?
He did. This is why it is in court. Duh!
How does he know they were not voting for him?
Who cares. They were on the register, and now that he lost, it is quite possible that they did not vote for him. So, what are you trying to say?
:dgi:
You do see how illegal immigrants, and non eligible voters are a problem on the register..you do see that...right!?!?

Yea....and?!?!
That does not sound like Mr. Miller. He is a guy that kicks up a fuss over anything.
He did. And he is now. Elections were just a month ago ya know!?!?

Do you really think he would back down over something as bad as voting in the wrong place, deliberately!
He is fighting, this is why the case is in court. What did you expect him to do?!?! Hold the man down, beat him up, cuss him out and throw him in a prvate dungeon?

Does LM know who you are or did he just think that you were another regular voter?
I seem to remember our discussion here about how LM was the most grown up of all the PLP election losers, talking about how he's still going to serve the community, build a bowling alley, etc.
Immediately after the election, he didn't point to any shenanigans or foolishness in his concession remarks. Based on his public image, one would think that if he was butting heads with you, he'd comment about it!
How long will these election court cases take to process?
diarra 06-29-07, - 10:59 AM Suck my teeth................ Leslie Miller, that Gibson woman and all the rest of them full of sh1t ! I can really say that I hate all of they dumb azzes for yet again showing how selfishly incompetent they are.... point blank! Tieing up our court systems when we have killers out on bail awaiting their adjourned cases committing more crimes.

Mr. Miller knows who I am .... (recall, I do not hide who I am..) I was one of the person fired from BAIC.. by Leslie, Parry and Sidney Stubbs... yes, I vowed from that day to use every ounce of energy in me to ensure Leslie, Sidney, Parry and yes the PLP's defeat... I worked my butt off from day one.. I took people to be regristered.. me alone.. they all knew me in the Parlimentary Regristar's office, in fact they offered me a job.. I refused I told that that I did not hav ein me to be fair I would used it to see to the demise of the PLP, that's how I really wanted to ensure the complete defeat of the PLP...
I am anxious to take the witness stand in this regard.. the only fault I may have made is that I allowed a few person who was away in school not to travel to the Bahamas, funds was the problem, however, a lot of Bahamian college students I was able to assit in brinning home.. to VOTE... at that time I was with a few Bahamian students from various schools in Canada.

Some say maybe til August 2007 or next 5 years... but generally I hope it follows the way others went and end by end July 2007.
