Oh I see, great, just another reason to hold up traffic during rush hour .. and all them cops out there that could be out fighting crime... oh well .. dont worry be happy mon, life is just one big party :D

"Beating Retreat or Beating the Retreat is a military ceremony dating back to the 16th century and was originally used in order to recall nearby patrolling units to their castle."

Of course we dont have patrols or castles but it is an attraction none the less. Bahamians love a military band! So do the tourists!

Besides why they couldnt have this somewhere else instead of in the middle of Bay Street which already has traffic problems, such as the Government house .. or anywhere that wont cause yet more traffic congestion ... if they want to make bay street pedestrian only, do it properly, create another route for traffic first.

If you were sitting in traffic downtown in this heat, waiting around to be rerouted into more traffic because they didnt post proper detours in advance, or do this somewhere else, you would be rather grouchy too .. the people in charge just never think .. they just do .. and we the people have to deal with the consequences .. :(

That part actually got me exited .. till they got going .. then i switched the channel .. I dont think it was the best place for it anyway
