Is there anybody else in Freeport? Have you noticed a poison like smell in the air? Very strong chemical smell that is keeping me from sleeping is all over inside my house.
I am just nervous at this point, I put on the Local TV but there is nothing in it.

Ooohh thank you. It does smell like that, i am kinda freaking out because is so strong in my house that the kids woke up bothered by it.

most bahamians just dont care so they sit back and take it, but I would ask all bahamians and residents to call and find out what is what when you smell something strange .. even if you think, or know, it is someone burning bush, that is illlegal and dangerous to others health and proprty, more people call they may take it serious and do their job .. the life you save could be your own, or your kids!

That said I reported the Fire at Saint Annes Graveyard, which BTW is clear as day from the main road just 20 odd feet from the road, flames and all, I have reported it to the Fox Hill Police, even stood just a few feet from the fire with them, then also since nothing was done, reported it in person 2 times to the Prince Charles Fire Dept ... yet 4 days later, it still burns, and flames are even higher .. they are obviously relighting it .. I am going to report it once again, and if it continues, I will go to the papers .. it is rediculous that I should suffer non stop headaches because of their smoke engulfing my home ... not to mention the chest problems ..

I wonder if they are actually putting it out, or not prosecuting because it is a church .. if so, that is sick@!

The Freeport dump is further out and in Much better shape than in Nassau.

It most likely is the spray they are using for mosquitoes. Tryin' to keep down the West Nile and encephalitis.

No I live in Bahamia in the middle of the Golf Course. However my mother was coming from the downtown area and she said the smell was everywhere.
It seems like fumigation but gosh maybe they went a bit too far because it was really very strong. It cant be good for our health.

Yeah either the health department or (I think) Bahamia maintainence goes out out night with the truck and spray. I don't know how the season is over there now....like is it raining much, but I know that spraying will help esspecially if you are near more pine forest.....which is basically everyone in Freeport lol.
