According to police reports, on Sunday morning seven-year-old Eric Thomas and his parents – all American, of Cincinnati, Ohio – were spending their shore leave from the cruise ship Majesty of the Seas on Cabbage Beach.

Eric’s mother had rented a jet ski, and according to reports, lost control of the vehicle around 11:30AM. The child was reportedly thrown from the vessel and sustained fatal head injuries.
