A 23-year-old man was accused of forcible detention and attempted rape when he appeared before Magistrate Susan Sylvester.
The accused William Fernander, also known as "Bones," of Flamingo Gardens, allegedly detained a 16-year-old female against her will with the intent to have sexual intercourse with her on July 8. On the same date it is alleged that he also attempted to rape her.
Williams was not required to plead to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $7,000. A preliminary inquiry into the matter was set for Oct. 26.
