Not quite seventy yet - not 100, yet! Just sixty. Thanks for all the greetings!
See me here ----> http://www.freewebby.com/action-smilies/grandpa.gif

When my Father was born there was no such thing as an airplane. Through his life the technology advanced - he lived to see a man step on the Moon (Which by the way was on the 20th July.)

It seems technology moves faster these day. When I was a kid, computers and cell phones were the stuff of science fiction few people believed we would ever see them. When I was ten I remember reading the comic strip "Dick Tracy." He had a wrist phone. It was pure fiction then but today I have one! (Not a wrist one but a cell phone.)

It is weird to look back over sixty years and see how much things have changed. As I sit here at my computer (another thing from SiFi.) I watch the cars pass on Village road. When I was a kid this was a side street with few cars passing. Today it is a main road. And the cars! They all have air condo'. When I was a kid that was also SiFi.

I wonder what the future will bring for you younger folks? Not just in technology but in other things as well. Anyone care to guess what the next "big thing" will be that changes our lives?

(PS not all change is good! I just spoke to my niece in London Eng. She said a pint of beer is now two pounds eighty pence! (That is around five or six dollars!) When I took my first beer in England it was 2/6 (two shillings and six pence) which was around forty cents!)

...wat he said!........
Namo buddham sharanam gacchami.

Namo = I bow.
Buddham = to the Buddha.
Sharanam = refuge
Gacchami = I go.
So it means = "I bow to Buddha and resort (or go) to him as refuge."

Hard to do when you reach a milestone like sixty! http://www.abcwebworx.com/smilies/signs/signs8.gif
It is OK to step out of the present for a moment -as long as one does not step out for good!!
