Sunnyjohn 07-24-07, - 10:26 AM Here is how it works. You will be presented a "Bahamian" word and asked to define it. Give the part of speech (verb, noun, pronoun, adjective, the adverb, preposition, conjunction, or interjection), define the word, and use it in sentence.
Here is an example using a "non-Bahamian" word.
CAT
noun
1. a small domesticated carnivore, Felis domestica or F. catus, bred in a number of varieties.
2. any of several carnivores of the family Felidae, as the lion, tiger, leopard or jaguar, etc.
3. Slang.
a. a person, esp. a man.
b. a devotee of jazz.
Use the word in a sentence. Then provide a Bahamian word for the next player!

This is a most unusual word.
As a matter of fact, only Bahamians use it.
To most people, to see a man/woman in a jacket/coat and matching pants/trousers/skirt they would say oh thats a nice suit.
But us here in The Bahamas would say, oh thats a nice 'coatsuit' even if the pants and jacket do not match.
