According to Miller, early yesterday morning Tyrone Watkins, a resident of Crooked Island Street, was returning home when his vehicle was shot at by unknown assailants.

"Around 3:50 a.m. the victim had just pulled up to his residence in his 1997 Altima when some persons unknown to him opened fire on his vehicle, causing damage to the rear windshield and to the front passenger door," reported Miller.

However, although police have recovered a "number" of 9 mm casings, suggesting that a 9 mm semi-automatic or a automatic handgun was used in the shooting, Miller said that investigations continued.
