I thought the Four Seasons was NOT up for sale, just the rest of the Emerald Bay holdings in Exuma because of the defaulted loan.

View Full Version : 4 Season Exuma up for sale? Sunnyjohn 08-03-07, - 10:37 AM I thought the Four Seasons was NOT up for sale, just the rest of the Emerald Bay holdings in Exuma because of the defaulted loan. RockWell 08-03-07, - 10:38 AM Heehe! Wonder who the talking heads gone blame this on? Sunnyjohn 08-03-07, - 10:39 AM Interest Peaks In Four Seasons Property By Tameka Lundy Significant interest still marks the level of attention by potential buyers of the Four Seasons Emerald Bay Resort in Exuma, Wayne Aranha one of the receivers appointed at PricewaterhouseCoopers told the Bahama Journal. The fate of the upscale property, that is a central element of larger development plans is a prime concern as the property has been credited with helping to spark an economic revitalization in Exuma. Mr. Aranha declined to comment further on the situation as the process is still underway to settle on a new owner. The situation developed months after developers EBR Holdings Limited defaulted on their loan, leaving the property to end up in receivership. From a tourism standpoint Deputy Director General David Johnson told the Journal this week that the primary concern is ensuring that the resort continues to operate regardless of who owns it.... http://www.jonesbahamas.com/?c=47&a=13602 Sunnyjohn 08-03-07, - 10:40 AM Heehe! Wonder who the talking heads gone blame this on? Probably bite by the private equity woes in the US. Lots of loan defaults all over. Sunnyjohn 08-04-07, - 10:56 AM bump?? BahamaWave 08-04-07, - 11:09 AM I visited 4 seasons in Exuma. man the place is too large to keep all those rooms occupied. I hardly saw any guests. smaller more intimate places are what rich tourist want for a Family Island get-a-way. Exrated 08-04-07, - 02:02 PM EBR holdings controls the property... but i've been warning people for years that the 4seasons did not want to renew their lease on the hotel grounds. once again.. i hate to say i told you so... but.. i told you so. Sunnyjohn 08-06-07, - 09:40 AM From reading this EBH is the one pulling out because they defaulted on the loan. It does not seem that the Four Seasons want out on the lease, but just want to know WHO they are renting the resort from. I dunno. I've found the EBH website, but I cannot find any info on the company handling the sale of the resort or any info (aside from Bahamian sources) or the receivership? Who is handling the bids? PWC doesn't have a Bahamian website? Sunnyjohn 08-14-07, - 03:21 PM So what is the new news???
