Okay, almost everyone knows Okra hill is well, know for drug dealing, and, well there are how many people living there!? Why does that area still exist, or, why is nothing being done? I mean in all reality, there are only a few residents, if you drive through there as a shortcut as I do alot, you see bums there, and they simply look like drug dealers, how hard is it to get them out of there? I imagine there are some legit homes there, but with it being such a small area, in such a central location, something should be done to clean it up and get rid of that drug dealing element that is so clear in view of everyone that drives through there. It all just makes no sense why nothing is being done to clean it up.

When i DO drive through there, day ofcourse, I make sure not to drive slow, it is not safe. The last 5 times I went through there in the day, gangs were at the end near the hotel, and you had to stop as they just walk sloooooooowwww in front of you for the hell of it, and god help you if you cant brake in time.

i hear you. I was talking to someone the other day, who grew up in Kemp rd, they left a while ago, but say they would never go back to kemp rd, and know, as everyone does, its one big drug dealers street, everyone knows who the drug dealers are, so why are they still operating, thats what I cant understand.

Since alot of our local crime is derived from drugs, you'd think the dealers would be the place to start, even forget the other connection like exporting to the US, im talking about local problems, we need to fix these first, they are more important.

And as for Sandilands, From people I have talked to, it doesnt work, they go in, come out, go in, come out, over and over and over, something there is not working. Then again. alot of drug related criminals cannot even get help, they are simply sent to fox hill, only to come out again and do it all over again. This is from personal experience of people I know, or attacks on myself.

Sandilands and the fox hill prison are nothing more than holding/breeding grounds for those that the government can't control and refuse to deal with.

Why do they let them out if they are still the way they went in?

Simple.

Nothing ever changes. They do not reform these people.

In most cases the persons being held can't read or write in the first place and therefore almost can't be taught.

If you lock me up for stealing, and then let me go. Now I have a bad reputation and a criminal record. If I can't find a good job, or even get more support to help me get on my feet - the only thing left to do is crime.
