The traffic fatality count in the nation's second city was pushed to three over the weekend, when a 19-year-old male resident of Freeport, Grand Bahama, succumbed to his injuries following an early morning smash-up on Queen's Highway.
According to official police reports, around 5.20 a.m., Ed Forbes Jr. was driving his brown 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe jeep in the area of Hanna Church of God when he collided with a black 2002 Dodge Neon, driven by 36-year-old Janeice Taylor.
Both vehicles were reportedly traveling east, when Forbes attempted to overtake Taylor and collided into the rear right side of her vehicle. But as Forbes was reportedly traveling at "high-speed" he was said to have lost control of his car and crashed into the west side of a home owned by Judy Grant. Forbes reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No one else was seriously injured.
