Just weeks after he was given an assortment of expensive gifts by colleagues during an appreciation dinner, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Ellison Greenslade has returned the thousands of dollars worth of items.

Well, public opinion and the fact that the public at the moment does not have a high regard for the RBPF, has forced the decision to return the gifts.
Nevertheless I feel Mr Greenslade was not at fault as he never solicited any gifts and it is said the gifts were given on behalf of the RBPF as a result of public donations. Albeit the volume or value of the gifts was setting an unprecedented level of gift giving to a serving civil servant.

I am of the view that Mr. Greenslade is a most qualified Bahamian professional that has and continues to serve the Bahamas a stellar Police Officer.
