Jamaal you will be ignored I asked this question some time back But my question was like this. where do all the titles such and Bishop and Apostle come from? what do they mean and how do you get the title? Do you get up on day and say oh I will be a Bishop to day? What is the difference in them? Got no responce Cedric Moss 02-02-05, - 09:25 AM Mr .Moss,I have watch and listened to you for along time now and from what I can see it appears if you are an angry man. Rapo: Far from it, I'm not an angry man and as those who know me would tell you, I am very self controlled and anger is not a character trait of mine...and never has been. Clearly you do not know me at all, not even in the context of how I addressed my concerns with the "Revival Is Here!" event with Dr. Juanita Bynum. I am certainly passionate and frank about the church and national issues that I address. Further, I labour to inform myself on the issues that I address so that I can speak with conviction and authority and not tentativeness. I'm not reticent to address views that I find to be wrong. In the pluralistic world we live in, many people hate those who speak with conviction, especially if they claim to follow Jesus Christ. I don't feel the right vibe from you as a man of God. Consider what you are saying, Rapo. What is "the right vibe"? Is that not very subjective? Who determines the "vibe" of a man of God? Is there any possibility that perhaps something is wrong with you? As I ask you these questions, I am thinking of the Biblical accounts of the Old Testament prophets, John the Baptist, Jesus and the apostles. They were all rejected, persecuted and killed. That is why I asked you to inquire 'is there a word from the Lord" and declare it. If you want to be a Prophet to this Nation ,tell us something you hear the Lord saying to you to the Nation. Rapo, I have declared God's word to our nation and I did it in the context of the false revival that was held back in March 2003. The word is, "Repent." This word has been declared to the nation. But many don't want to hear that. They want to hear "peace and prosperity belong to us because we are God's special nation" and "Revival Is Here!" Rapo, this site is replete with my weekly (then monthly) Kingdom View messages written from December 2002 through December 2004, and these were published in The Nassau Guardian as well. If you have not seen them, I'd be happy to point you to them. If you want to be a Prophet to this Nation ,tell us something you hear the Lord saying to you to the Nation. I do not "want to be a Prophet to this Nation". I have never called myself as such and genuinely have do desire to be so. One does not necessarily have to be a prophet to speak to a nation. That said, I am what I am and I will continue to speak to our nation and the church in this nation as I sense the Lord directing me. And by the way, only people who do not know that occupational hazzards of being a prophet "want to be a prophet." The same goes for those who "want to be apostles" as well. The Biblical account is that the true ones are rejected, persecuted and generally die as martyrs. The false ones are accepted and celebrated. I am not hiding it my choice to remain anonymous, trust me am far from being a coward. Perhaps you are not a coward. However, it has been my experience that cowards tend to share their views anonymously. I'm sure that some who read this thread and have been members of this site for some time would acknowledge that I have shared this view before. I would grant that there are sometimes good reasons to not want to be identified with certain publicly shared views. However, I do not believe that is the genuine excuse of the vast majority of persons who hide behind an assumed name and carry out verbal terrorist attacks. In my view, those who do so are cowards who, like natural terrorists fire their guns and missiles...with their faces covered. Sometimes people anonymously verbally attack and hold positions on this site because they have a vested interest in some shape or form and if their anonymity is removed, they would be seen to be less than credible, and even dishonest in their positions. In my case, I find that I have to be more disciplined with what I say because my identity is known. I believe it also gives me more credibility. If you don't mind, Rapo, would you kindly share with me your general reasoning for using an assumed name? Cedric Moss 02-02-05, - 10:24 AM Can you please tell me what an "Apostle" is? Meaning, duty, etc.? Jamal: An Apostle is one of the four leadership gifts (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists and Pastor/Teachers) that Jesus gives to men in the Church (see Ephesians 4:7-13). Their collective purpose is to prepare God's people to do God's work. The word Apostle comes from the Greek word, "apostolos" and it means a helmsman on a boat. It also means a messenger who is sent. The duty of apostles is primarily to establish and strengthen churches (not buildings but groups of disciples of Jesus Christ). Apostles know and are faithful to God's Word and sound doctrine and they understand and implement Biblical church governmental structure. An apostle is a "wise masterbuilder" (King James Version) or "an expert builder" (New International Version), according to 1st Corinthians 3:10. The Greek Word for "wise masterbuilder"/"an expert builder" is architekton, from which we get our English word, "architect" - chief constructor. If you think of the building of a house, the architect is the point person who has an overall understanding of all phases of the work (engineering, electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, airconditioning etc) but others who specialize in those areas do the actual work under his general oversight. Similarly, in their gifting, apostles are graced with measures of the other aspects of church government (prophet, evangelist and pastor/teacher) and give oversight to churches as an architect gives oversight to a building project. How does one become and apostle? According to Ephesians 4:7-13, apostleship, like the others mentioned is a gift from Jesus Christ. Men can recognize and affirm these gifts in the lives of others but they cannot confer nor deny them upon a man's life. To help you to understand the character of apostles (and false apostles) read 1st Corinthians 4 and 2nd Corinthians 11. You will find these to be amazing and you would wonder why anyone in their right mind would "want to be an apostle" based on those passages. However, many who "want to be apostles" have evidently passed over these passages and it is revealing as they represent and pursue quite the opposite to these accounts. I trust the helps, Jamal. I trust the above helps, Jamal. Hi Jammal Please note That the word apostle is not mentioned in any of Christ teachings. The reference Cedric gave you are the teachings of Paul. Paul is a man who never knew Christ the man who walked the earth. However in Pauls own writings he claims he saw Christ and spoke with Christ. Well after he was dead and risen. That would be like someone coming up to you saying they saw Christ and spoke to Christ. Now do as I tell you to do. Search apostle in Matthew Mark Luke and John. No results found. No results were found for apostle in the version(s):King James Version. http://biblegateway.com/keyword/?search=apostle&version1=9&searchtype=any&wholewordsonly=yes Christ teachings are in the writings of Matthew Mark Luke and John. All others in the New Testament are opinions of other people. The Old Testament is from Jewish teachings. Oh not to mention the teaching of Christ in the Gnostic Gospel http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/gnostics.html http://www.misericordia.edu/users/davies/thomas/Trans.htm rapo 02-05-05, - 01:20 AM Mr. Moss, you are talking old story.I ask is there a now word, not ltwo years but today. Its people like you that gives Ministers a bad names, claiming to have something to say and have nothing to say at all.Have you stop to think about The Favor of God .This might seems unfair, but it seems as if you do have a problem with way God gives His favor? If you wait on The Lord and be of a good heart, your time will come. Then perhaps we will hear a word. Vicky 02-05-05, - 08:53 AM Mr. Moss, you are talking old story. Its the only story he knows I ask is there a now word, not ltwo years but today. Its people like you that gives Ministers a bad names, claiming to have something to say and have nothing to say at all. That is because people like Cedric are stuck. They are lost when asked simple questions about their faith. Example Cedric please answer this question. The Creator created Adam and Eve, They had Cane and Able. Cane killed Able and was marked by the Creator that all who sees him will kill him. He then ran of to the land of Nod. There he found a wife. Here are a few questions on the above summery. 1 who were all who would see him to kill him. Adam and Eve were the only ones left. 2 Is not the Creator powerful enough to just think Cane out of existence? Why would he need alll to kill him 3 He ran to the land of Nod and found a wife. Did Eve leave Adam and go to Nod and propagate the human race? 4 Was incest ok then but not ok now? 5 What was Cane's wife he left Eve with Adam?? 6 Where did she come from??? These are the questions people like Cedric will not answer. Because they know when they do they Blow their faith out the window. Have you stop to think about The Favor of God .This might seems unfair, but it seems as if you do have a problem with way God gives His favor? If you wait on The Lord and be of a good heart, your time will come. Then perhaps we will hear a word. If you wait on The Lord and be of a good heart, your time will come. Then perhaps we will hear a word. Rapo, the word to our nation is still the same: "Repent!" But like in Jeremiah's day, many in our nation don't want to hear that and have itching ears for words of blessing, peace and prosperity. About the favour of God, from your comments I wonder whether you really understand God's favour. Let me encourage you to not assume that everything that is successful by human standards is God's favour or that God is even in it (even ventures with God's name attached and called repeatedly) because if you do you will be greatly deceived. Alien 02-05-05, - 11:21 AM dont run from vicky cedric...confront her with what you know! i want to hear the end of it too... Vicky 02-05-05, - 02:31 PM Hey Y2k here is anpther just for you and Cedric Matthew 27:46-55 (King James Version) 46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. 48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Luke 23:46 (King James Version) 46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Now which were Jesus last words. “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:” HHHmmm can't have to sets of last words. Who lies Matthew or Luke???? |
