You know how I see it? The desendents(sp) of The Bay Street Boys et al, saw the handwriting on the wall.

They knew Bay Street was going DOWN!! So was the jewerllery(sp), perfume, liqour, cigar and fine China businesses.

One time ago, tourist came here for those items. As a matter of fact, The Nassau Shoppe used to sell cashmere and fine linen. Those items can now be brought all over the world, at far cheaper prices.

Even Bahamians hardly shop on Bay.

One can go to BJ's or Costco and buy liquor quite cheaply. Only certain fine rums are brought here now for tourist to take back home like Nassau Royale.

Yes, just when The Bay Street Boys were trying hard to figure out how the hell to find themselves out of this mess. Up steps Tiger dem, who had longed to be on Bay anyway, with the right price.

Dem Bay Street Boys must have said, THANK YOU GEEZUSS!!

I know right? But do you noticed how solomon's mines have stores not too far from each other in the area? And I havent even considered the Prince George Wharf side. I really thought they had too many shops to begin with...and they own other stores like Royal Palm and Pipe of peace.

They need new buyers. Has anyone seen the garbage they have in the Bally and Ferragamo stores? My girlfriend has to go to New York to get her Ferragamos. And whenever you did find something nice in the stoe, you end up leaving the store annoyed because of the bad service rendered by a ghetto rat who has no right working in luxury retail.

This is a tragedy because we always say black people are not good business persons.

This all boils down to bad management and huge expenses. All if the Finalyson children and their spouses have Vice President etc positions and I am sure they are paid quite handsomely. Maybe they shoudl start cutting fromt he top to save on those 6 figure salaries.

John S George is now also owned by Black Bahamians. Wilson's, the owners of QBC who also took over Radio Shack. Whats up with the one in Palmdale? When I passed there on Saturday, the WHOLE PLACE WAS EMPTY!! Just the shell and there was a sale going on outside.
