The investor friendly policies of the Government of The Bahamas have drawn another high profile endorsement, with the Director General of the Commonwealth Business Council Dr. Mohan Kaul actually hailing this country as a model for the Commonwealth.

We are very friendly to outside investors. It's our home grown folks we still have problem with.

It is good to hear good news for a change.

~~

Almost immediately after it was elected to office in 2002, the Christie-led administration created the Ministry of Financial Services and Investments to drive its vision.

Isn't that Ministry defunct?

Perhaps they should consider bringing back that Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago has a similar group that deals entirely in this kind of thing. Most developing countries do.

No use cutting off your nose simply over politics.

they should do away with these ministry things, as they all seem political .. bring in non affiliated private boards to handle all this stuff .. what yah think?

So PM HI and "dat 'Vago boy" (LOL) running the show? Interesting!

I still think it should be stand alone. Even if they have to eventually go to the PM, having one person focused just on courting investment and economic diversity is good for the country.
