Albany Concerned About Power

The recent island-wide blackout apparently raised eyebrows at the offices of the developers of the Albany Beach and Golf Resort, the suddenly controversial mixed-use resort being developed in Southwest New Providence.
In a recent conference call with members of the press, Managing Director of the Albany Development Christopher Annand said that the developers had taken note of the recent island wide blackout and hope to work with the Bahamas Electricity Corporation to ensure that the Albany Beach and Golf Resort does not fall victim to the same problems.
"We are talking with BEC. We certainly know that within our community we cannot have those issues. One of the things that just cannot happen to resorts is blackouts. Atlantis can’t afford to be without power for three days, nor can Cable Beach....
